HOW TO TELL A NEWB IN FIRE ARMS

Actually the 1911 does have a main spring in the main spring housing. It might also be known as the hammer spring but the correct terminology in 1911 nomeclature is mainspring. Both Ed Brown and Wilson Combat sell mainsprings and personally I won't argue with either of these two high quality 1911 ma...

Sights???

If you pratice enough, you will use your sights to a degree in a gunfight. If you only have a white dot on the front sight, and put that at center mass, you will hit the BG. Any edge you can get will put you over the curve. During a SD time, you will need all of your training & mindset to come ...

Just a quick note here.
All members for your own protection please blur out any s/n on your guns when posting pics.

In this age of identity theft your gun and it's s/n are identified with you.
Please be careful.

New Guy

Welcome! I have a fair collection of guns but today the P-64 was on my side as I'll probably wear it Saturday as well. I would carry it more often but the only problem I have is with the safety dropping on and I tried all fixes. I carry it in low risk situations and admit it is a tack driver as far ...

Poor Day at the Range

Yeah, ammo isn't cheap. I just put 1200 rounds through a new gun in 2 weeks, I wanted to test it for reliability and function. Thank God it was 9mm luger the cheapest ammo you can get besides .22. Take your time at this stage of the game and concentrate on accuracy, it'll help conserve ammo till you...
