Duracoat Refinishing P-64 and Mak Available

Great pics!

How about the trigger guard tho, doesn't it come off too? With it should be the take-down spring & plunger, maybe it's there and I don't recognize it.

DeSantis Nemesis holster

Just make sure you try out the different carry options. I'm not sure the Don Hume JIT would work well as a pocket holster because it would be too tough to get the pistol out of the holster in a hurry (while in your pocket). It might take two hands. On your belt it is fine because you have the extra ...

Hammer Spring News from Wolff!

Is it advisable to also get a new recoil spring if you are putting in a new hammer spring? I seem to remember reading how one also affects the other. Anyone know?

Anyone use a Don Hume holster?

are you missing a grip screw? Nope, not yet. The grips in the JIT Slide picture are walnut made by Dennis Marschalko. They came with their own grip screw and countersunk nut, which is a nice touch. It looks similar to this picture by another forum member: http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y239/kings...

New Mags./ Regarding destrux's thread.

Here is the company: http://www.forwardsupply.com/ I got a couple and they seem identical to the originals. No problem with them. The finish on the new ones is flat, whereas the originals have sort of a "burnished" finish, only if you look close. That's how I tell them apart. My original m...

Thanks NORM

Here's a diagram that shows the extractor parts (2,3,4) -

Which way do you slide the extractor to get it out once the spring is depressed? ??? Towards the plunger?

Removing firing pin/spring

Success!

How did you hold the FP tensioned when re-assembling? I needed a nice small narrow soft clamp, but could not find anything like that.

Ended up padding my needlenose pliers and then clamping those with some small vicegrips. Worked, but made it pretty unwieldy.

Welcome to the board!

The safety dropping thread has some info on removing the safety (and in turn, firing pin etc.) -
