Is the Recoil Really that BAD??
No, its not that bad. As a CCW its nearly perfect in size. Its not my choice to shoot 200 rounds out of without a break but practice with twenty to fifty rounds is certainly not that bad. Get one, if you don't like it, you can usually re-sell and not be out any money. Have fun.

Funny,yet Insane!
You just have to laugh. I have seven pistol calibers and five rifle calibers to reload for and after buying a reloader, I have not been able to put together enough components/powder/bullets to try one size for the very first time.

DA trigger pull on CZ70
tman11787, Just bought a CZ 70. It has the same set up as a CZ52. (go figure) To smooth some things out a little, flip the slide over, push down on the firing pin retractor lock, shove the firing pin out, may have to grip it with needle nose, pull. There is a firing pin retractor spring and it proba...

DA trigger pull on CZ70
I was wondering the same thing myself. From what I have read, the difference between the CZ50 and the CZ70 was the grip and additional serrations on the slide so it would be easier to rack the slide for the first round. The rest should be the same. But I am not postively sure. Wolff Springs are chea...

CZ 70
6X6pinz,
Thanks for the reply. I'll check out a CZ27. Your right about re-loading .32. I am just now getting into re-loading and I'm starting on the bullets that I shoot the most, 9X18, .40, .45 and In rifles , I can't help myself, .223. The smaller calibers just don't seem feasible.

My son owns a Model 17. It functions great. Its a polymer frame etc. and a nice huge magazine. Something about the angle of the grip is just not right for me. It shoots and is accurate enough, easy to field strip and put back together. All of the law enforcement agency's couldn't be wrong. Don't own...

CZ 70
Thanks for all the feedback. I'll ponder this and who knows, I may pick it up. I just purchased a re-loader and my time seems consumed with absorbing as much stuff on that as I can. Not interested in re-loading .32. I always liked the looks of one (a CZ70) and thought I would ask if anyone had exper...

Grayfox that looks good. Don't know if I'm brave enough to go with white grips but every time I see a handgun with them, I like it. Do you think CZ 50 grips will fit a CZ 70? I've read that the only difference is cosmetic between the two and Marchalko has grips for the CZ50. Nice lookin CZ50. Is the...

You do have a nice collection of 1911's. I had a Charles Daly, liked it alot but sold it to move on to other handguns. Ultimately ended up with a Kimber Custom II. I really like the Kimber, but there is something about the Daly that I miss. It shot great. Had a couple of stovepipes with it and figur...

CZ 70
Thanks for the reply Norm, I went down and looked at it again today after work. A new set of wood grips would really dress it up and I saw that Dennis Marschal has some that should fit.

CZ 70
Hi Norm, I haven't made up my mind about the purchase. It is still in the gun shop case. I checked Wolff Springs and there is some new springs available for the CZ 50 but not for the CZ 70. I've read that the only difference is a bunch of cosmetic stuff. Grips etc. So I guess the springs are the sam...

CZ 70
Gentlemen, I spotted a CZ 70 today for 189.00 at a local gunshop. I have looked at these in the past but never took the bait. I know its only .32 cal. I know its a little small to be much of a stopping force for home protection but my wife will be completely turned off of anything remotely causing a...

Changed My Spring - and a Tip
What Norm says! You should not have to put your P64 in a vise, padded or otherwise to get your slide back on. On some P64's (not all) you have to get a flat block of wood and wrap it in fine graphite paper or sand paper. Sand the narrow end of your recoil spring a little at a time and keep trying it...

S&W PPK Safety Recall
I've got one and I'm not happy about the recall. It falls in their recall seriel numbers. I looked real hard at the problem they describe and I can't figure out how an accidental firing could happen. The trigger is clearly obstructed from the firing pin. Apprehensively I have sent for the mailing is...

Grips & Cocked and Locked
I agree with several others here, I don't think cocked and locked is a feature on a P64. Better play with that thing and take it apart to see whats going on. I know a CZ 82 is designed for cocked and locked (not sure I would). But a P64 is da/sa without a cocked and lock. You know what, I just went ...
