Really off topic! any input?
Gentlemen: I agree with both of you. I do think that we sometimes escalate something just because it will be the big boys can make money off of. In fact, there may be precious few wars where the motivation was not, at least in part, financial. That's a hard fact, but every voting citizen should be a...

Sellier & Bellot 9x18
Redfestiva--glad you went a head with it. I don't know why, but so many people I knkow seem to procastinate when it comes to qualifying for a CCW, despite how very important it could be. Sorry you got soaked but I think it's great that both you and your spouse got qualified. Good for both of you!

Sellier & Bellot 9x18
I've been happy with S&B. I had heard that Wolf had given some folks trouble in 9x18 and I had some Wolf .40 that was absolutely terrible. I have two 1968 P-64's and they like the Silver Bear very well, which is great, because it is so cheap. I've had occasional jams with the Hornady hollowpoint...

First time with my P64 dated 73
I have a Russian Mak in .380 and two 1968 P-64's. I like the Russian Mak and it has NEVER failed to feed. But it is not as accurate as either of my P-64's, the fit and finish is not as good as the P-64, and it is not as concealable as the P-64. Don't get me wrong, like Himmel, I agree both weapons h...

Replacement Grips I make
Mr. Zee, Well, I can understand taking a breather. I hope you do get back into it before too long. Some of those color combinations were extremely creative, and I have 'hungry' P-64's and CZ-52's as well. I never saw anything but positive reviews on your grips for both CZ-52's and P-64's. For what i...

Thanks guys, I'll check with Mr. Zee. By the way papabear, I like that color combination for the CZ-52 as much as I like RLJ's black and blue for the P-64.
Much obliged....

Papabear and RLJ,
Those are super cool! I particularly like the look of that blue on black. Do any of you know if Mr. Zee makes these grips or the grips for the CZ-52 n hard rubber?

Vermonter, There may be a 'quicker' alternative. If you get the chance go to "fixes, modifications" section on the message board to "online springs" thread. It apperas as though there may be move to custom order 100 to 200 custom-made springs for our P-64. Like you, I'm not wild ...

I donated $10 as well, and think that it is money well spent. I greatly enjoy this forum--far more than any others that I have been associated with.

Online Spring Order
I very much like the quality of the Wolff springs I have purchased in the past. The folks at Wolff responded to my recent e-mail about a heavy duty recoil spring for a P-64, and said that this was in the works, but a specific time for availablity remains unknown. Naturally, if a heavy duty recoil sp...

1dickhurtz, I think you're a lucky fellow that you didn't get your 'gunhurtz' on this one! Although I've never tried it myself, I've had people swear to me that you can shoot .380's all day in the 9mm mak Makarov. When I was shocked, it was pointed out to me that it was "only 1 mm" differe...

Manicmechanic, None that I know of. Of course some out here in the forum may have an idea about that, as what fits a Walther PP series sometimes works with these guns, albeit with some alterations. What I was using was the "slip on" Hogue and I also used one by Pachmyr (I never can spell t...
