Re: Fort Pistols

Well, don't think we'll have to worry about imported pistols flying apart anytime soon. Our government doesn't like to let us import arms. Thank god for engineering drawings. My son who's a marine was in what was the old soviet Georgia for two years training the Georgian military. (Those poor guys d...

Re: AK-74 and 5.45x39

Thanks Arik, I'm told the round does have an air bubble just under the jacket tip that causes the projectile to yaw and tumble, like a buzz saw. Might be just the thing against two legged animals. There are no soft points on the market. What would be the use?? The recoils seems to be very mild from ...

AK-74 and 5.45x39

Hey guys

Any one have any input on the AK-74?? I'm looking at buying one from J&G, the ammo is cheap. The AK design is solid. Just would like some input. Thanks in advance.

Re: Fort Pistols

I've never seen one outside pictures. Where I did see them was on a web site that has military pistols from all nations, appears to be current too. Half the good stuff we never see, interesting stuff anyway.

Re: Man, I see why everyone is changing out their grips!

If you just want a firm comfortable grip, the Handall jr. slide on is great. I've used it on the 64' and I have it on my High-Pwr clone. I'm planning to get a second P-64, it will have the stock grips and Handall jr. slip-ons. I have a set of Dennis's grips on the first one.

Re: Buffalo Bore 9X18 Coming Soon

I have a favorite line from a movie (doesn't everyone?) It's Jeff Goldblum in 'Jurassic Park'. "Just because you CAN do something DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD". I think it's a sound way of looking at things, but you have to make your own decisions. I would certainly use BB in hunting weapon. Ca...

Re: Ammo prices. Wow!

Guys it's like some people don't realise they can get a better deal on the internet. The guy I deal with in florida is pretty good. When I order I'll ask him if there's something he needs. I made a huge order for 7.62x25 in spam cans. I ordered two more than I really needed. It just so happened he h...

Re: Ammo prices. Wow!

A lot of these people think you're stupid. I asked a guy about a rifle today. He quoted a price about two hundred too high. I ask him what his fee for a transfer was because I was going to buy the rifle from J&G, at they're price, not his. His comment no kidding was: " 60 BUCKS FOR YOU"...

Re: 9x18 jhp vs. fmj

Some folks say a round to be effective needs to penetrate at least 12 inches. There's a web site called 'The Box of Truth' They do all kinds of stuff. Kinda' like a 'Myth Busters' for for shooters. Check it out. It's pretty cool, lot's of on the range testing.

Re: P-64 for hunting

I was a carrier sailor, squadron not ships company. Plus flew through there numerous times, funny thing the aircraft just 'Happened to go down' for a couple of days. Played 'Smiles' several times though. Was never stationed there, if I had been, I'd be dead, running the streets. Those were the days....

Re: P-64 for hunting

Blinddog,

Yes ate dog in the P.I. Chicken Paws, Didn't know it was dog at the time. It's interesting how they stuff the dog with rice. Stave the dog for a couple of days, feed it half cooked rice. Slaughter it. It's already stuffed. Then there's Balut anyone had one??

Re: P-64 for hunting

I have workers that will 'Eat anything that doesn't eat them first'. When someone offers you food, never turn it down, it offends people. Besides it's great entertainment for them, wanting too see the 'Boss' puke. I've eaten coon', possum', cooter', rocky mountain oysters, nutria and snapen turtle a...

Re: Upgrade your stock grips and tame the mule!

Dennis is a good guy. His work is 1st rate. It's well worth waiting for, he has elaborate grips or simple one's. Everyone is different. I have oil rubbed checked walnut, just plain. Compare it to a Japanese garden, sometimes stark simplicity is the most beautiful. DFunks leather work is also excelle...
