Re: Mag drought?
Maybe a half dozen boxes total through 2 mags. I noticed the bullet impressions/dents after the first range trip. The feed lip issue started almost immediately as well. It also doesn't reliably hand-cycle with these mags (again, due to the feed lips), although admittedly it's never had an FTE or ch...

Re: Mag drought?
^ The metal in those is junk and too thin. Yes, they work for the most part, but after firing a few boxes through them you can see dents from the other bullets in the mag, where they struck the tube from the recoil of the top bullet being fired. The feed lips also deform over time, making the mags ...

Mag drought?
Having not seen any p64 magazines online for awhile I figured the next most likely place to find one would be a rather large gun show today. "Nope." "Sorry." "Haven't seen them for awhile." "Well, I had one somewhere but I must have sold it." "Maybe this ...

The inner tube solution works well for me, too.

Re: OLD, TIRED, POLISH MILITARY HOLSTER????
Dang autofill. I meant to ask, "DOES" anyone actually carry they're p64 in the original holster?
I mean, it's cool and everything, but looks like it would flop around on a belt. Mine stays in the holster when parked near my easy chair, but there are better holsters for carry IMO.

Re: Carrying P64 w/ 1 in the Chamber, Hammer Dropped, Safety
Take the slide off and move the safety back and forth and you'll see it has a hammer block that keeps the hammer from striking the firing pin. I still point it in a safe direction when decocking with a round in the chamber since mechanical things can malfunction.
Just my newbie 2¢.

Good source for p64 mags?
Like the title sez, I'm looking for one or two magazines for my p64. Have seen some aftermarket mags like this one -- http://www.keepshooting.com/polish-p64-magazine.html -- Wonder if anyone has any experience with them.

Re: Round sometime sticks in chamber
Well, I don't think it was a lacquer build up problem after all. On further inspection, the rounds that hang up on the chamber show a slight rough edge on one side of the case mouth, flairing outward just a bit. I can can feel it easier than see it. This indicates the case is getting caught on the ...

Re: '68 P64 9x18 new trigger guard pin too big
Don't want to hijack the thread here, but I noticed after shooting yesterday my trigger guard pin had almost worked it's way out. I've only had the gun for a few months -- maybe 150 rounds through it since I've had it -- and this was the first time I'd seen it work its way out. I was able to press i...

Re: Round sometime sticks in chamber
Well, since I went shooting yesterday I had to clean it anyway so I let it soak in a concoction of Ed's Red Bore Cleaner for several hours then scrubbed the chamber with a twisted piece of Scotch Brite pad, followed by a bore brush and a swab of Eezox down the barrel. Let it dry real well and loaded...

Re: Round sometime sticks in chamber
Thanks, I thought that might be a possibility. I've had it for a few months now and mostly been shooting Monarch; Lord only knows what's been shot in it since 1967.
I wondered if it could be some lacquer buildup.

Round sometime sticks in chamber
P64 newbie here again with another question. Occasionally the chambered round will not eject when I rack the slide by hand, as when unloading to change from HPs to ball ammo. Today the slide would simply not rack when I was at the range so I just shot it (no mag). Fired fine, slide locked back as ex...
