Now comes the questions: 1. The barrel has shallow rifling (compared to newer/ modern sigma 9mm). Is that normal for 9mm mak barrels? It's still shiny though. 2. Is the barrel replacable? How many rds is the barrel supposed to go through before it loses accuracy? I compared the rifling in the P-64 ...

I have never had a FTF with my P-64s. The one that I have fired the most had it slide get stuck all the way back 2 or 3 times, but that problem has disappeared. From reading about FTFs in 1911s, the magazine is usually the culprit.

Yes, it is stiff, but since I never shoot DA, it's okay with me the way it is.

Yeah, the Wolf Military Classic I normally shoot has red "paint" around the primer. So does my Silver Bear HP.

With the currencies of eastern Europe on steep decline compared to the dollar and with the fall in costs of metals, it is reasonable to expect that newly imported ammo will be a lot cheaper.

I put a 22# recoil spring in mine and still get a bloody trigger finger. If I grip it extra hard, maybe there's less of a problem. 50 rnds is about my limit, but the P-64 is still one of my favorites because of its size and cartridge.

His grips are popular with P-64 owners. My P-64s wear them and so do some of my other pistols.
