Re: New guns!

I have seen other posts showing similar, and the only common thing was it was only when using PPU. Perhaps there was a bad batch of it made that is still floating around? The P64 does not have a fully supported chamber. No problem though, since it does not have the pressure of guns that are known to...

Re: Best source for 9x18 Bullets

Rob, prices at Graf's have gone up. Just checked it tonight because it didn't sound right to get 500 MO bullets for cheaper than MO Bullets sells them for on their website. Sorry, just checked again and noticed I was signed in as a dealer from having the C&R that caused me to get a P-64. Try http:/...

Re: Best source for 9x18 Bullets

I think this thread drifted off course a little. Asking about bullets in "reloading" section, and I think that means bullets, not completed ready to fire rounds of ammo. I know, some confuse Bullets with ammo, but they are not the same. As to bullets, doesn't seem to be a lot of choices, so threads ...

Re: Chronograph Results

My ProChrono results using 95gr Berry's Plated bullets and W231 powder, which ends up costing about 12 cents a round (Graf C&R discount bullet 6.5 cents, powder gun club 1.5 cent, primer gun club 3 cents, 9mm luger brass priced at $50 for 1000 trimmed to .706 and reloaded 5 times for 1 cents each) ...

Re: P64 vs. Walther PPK/S

.. On a different subject, .... what if you, a licensed CHP CCW holder, killed an unarmed 17 year old? (Sanford, FL issue). I'll make it very simple. If you hold a "concealed weapon permit", you should have been TAUGHT to "RUN from conflict"! The guy "playing" neighbor watch, had NO right under any...

You may look on some other sites but this may be about all that's available right now. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=277825404 This guy is in Florida. The Polish feller usually sells them for cheaper but he only has a listing for the slide stop levers right now. You may contac...

Re: New Member with a sad story

That sounds almost exactly like what happened to me a couple weeks ago. Have fired hundreds of rounds through before trying this new method. Now I no longer trust this safety system, so don't use it or keep gun in a manor that requires using safety. Posted in another thread about concealed carry, an...

Best (and most expensive) thirty bucks you'll ever spend! ?? and most expensive? :?: My C&R arrived 3/12. Yet, here in New Orleans, there is one guy that will do FFL transfers for FREE! (with your NRA membership card) ...no NRA membership = $35 transfer fee. Of course, ALL of us should be NRA membe...

Re: Buldged Cases

The famous unsupported chamber area known for Ka-Boom's is with Glock 40 S&W, which have around 50% more case pressure than the 9x18 Makarov does. Even the 9mm Luger round has around that same high case pressure, but generally no issues with bulges. However, most of the Glock 40 S&W with unsupported...

Re: New guy, new P64

Hello, .... My question now is: Is 9mmx18, which is noted on my gun, the same or compatible with 9x19? ..... Any help will certainly be appreciated. Regards, tjmo Hello, and welcome to the forum. You picked the right place to look for info on your P-64. I too am new here, but already learned a ton ...

Nice.

A quick look at Hodgdon shows you should be around 1600fps with that heavier round and Lil'Gun. Any noticable bullet creep?

Re: Time to upgrade the old 8" for more recoil

Yep, reloading. Remington Core-Lok 385gr are great, but for best bang for the buck, mostly will use Berrys Plated 350gr (20 cents Grafs). Unlike most plated bullets, the 500 S&W Berrys can be fired at up to 2100fps. Started with A5744 but full case would only get me to around 1500fps. Slow enough fo...

Time to upgrade the old 8" for more recoil

After 154 years, the Remington is getting a little tired.

Seeing how recoil is a part of the P-64 discussion, figured this would be along those same line. Upgraded from 44 (.457) to a 500 S&W.

Re: How to carry...

Trying the one in the chamber with safety on, and ran into a problem. Preparing to fire, turned off safety, cocked hammer, and the gun instantly went off. Pistol jumped out of my hand onto ground. As usual, it was safely pointed downrange. I am almost positive hammer was all the way back to click an...

Re: Reloading Converted 9x19 Brass Question

While I have not tried it, I read that due to the 9x18's larger diameter, the fired 9x18 brass will not go into a 9x19 sizing die without a fight (.365+ vs .355). If that does not happen, the next step of expanding would not flare mouth enough with the reduced depth of the 9x18, which should set off...
