Training P64's at Centerfire Systems

Centerfire Systems is advertising Training P64's for $139.00 These are not fireable due to cuts in the barrels and the firing pins holes welded shut, but may be a great source of hard to get parts like safety's, trigger bars, etc.

The shape of the case rupture leads me to believe this round had much higher than normal pressures, perhaps from a higher powder charge or bullet setback, and blew the casing out in the feed ramp area where the case is not fully supported. Yes, note that the United Defense mags seem to be designed to match the post 1974 OEM magazine's ( change to the magazine's was made that year) and do not work without modification on the pre 1974 guns. However, if you are willing to do the filing then they seem to be working reasonably well.

Nice looking gun, great shooting and the Polish Iron Grips are the way to go. and a little dayglo orange over white nailpolish on the front site does wonders.
