Re: Classic Firearms flash sale

Which would be the reason I said "Their descriptors". Buyer must always beware. But it is the best price on P-64's I have seen in quite some time.

Classic Firearms flash sale

Just got notified, Classic Firearms has P64's in "VG to Excellent" (their descriptors) for $179.00. This is a flash sale and will be very short. Also looks like holsters are also available but they are out of mags. Best price I have seen in quite awhile.

Re: P83 Firing pin and decocker issues

Well at least now you know for sure what the firing pin problem was, easy / cheap to fix too.
I am not familiar with the P83 safety setup so I do not know if there is only 1 detent, although I would suspect only 1. And nice to know the FP is not broken.

Re: P83 Firing pin and decocker issues

Hmmmmm. Well you could remove the pin and spring before hand and see what kind of shape they are in before ordering. I am suspicious, I don't think I have ever heard a whole firing pin rattle. Especially if there is a spring around it. I wonder if it is something else that is doing the rattle dance.

Re: P83 Firing pin and decocker issues

is the pin broken maybe? That may account for the rattling?

Re: Can't get slide on with Wolff recoil springs

Is the muzzle end of the spring round or flat? It needs to be flat as the heavier springs seem to be of a mite thicker diameter wire and are therefore a bit longer. Flattening it with a piece of sandpaper will do the trick.

Re: Newby with double fire issue

DJ I wish you luck in resolving your problems and hope we have been some help to you. Please let us know what your trigger weight on SA turns out to be and if your smith finds a way to increase the weight, that knowledge would benefit quite a few of us here. Good luck sir.

Re: Newby with double fire issue

Djmier, I am not aware of a way to increase the single action trigger pull weight as the pull weight with the stock sear is so light so replacing it with another stock sear will not get you anywhere in that direction. Short of making a custom sear to increase the SA pull weight, an action that would...

Re: Newby with double fire issue

djmier, I am sorry I forget the spring question. Swapping out the springs usually involves both the recoil and hammer springs. These can be had at Wolff Springs, https://www.gunsprings.com/POLISH%20/P64%20/cID1/mID49/dID196. My suggestion is to get the recoil spring calibration pak as it gives you 3...
