Re: Front sight replacement

Mine is a HiViz and I still have the other light pipes, however red is the color of almost all, or florescent orange, of my front sights so I don't think I will ever change it.

Re: Front sight replacement

superc I did something almost identical a while back, see here: http://www.p64resource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4538#p43711 I opened up the rear sight notch with a small flat file just a scosh and found it was worth the time and effort for the results. Added a bit of blue with a touch up pen an...

Re: Zastava M70 .32ACP

I got 2 of them. They are very well built and great shooters. I just got hold of some Fiocchi semi jacketed hollow points rated at 1100fps that, if they feed, I may even have enough confidence in keeping them as a backup or possibly even extremely limited niche primary carry gun. Extra mags are avai...

Re: Carry questions- or Resurrecting a dead horse to beat

Guitarman, thank you for elaborating, long winded or not it is once in a while needed to be spelled out if for nothing else than we frequently get persons new to collecting and shooting milsurps, which the P64 is, and others who may just be new to firearms and shooting and the idea that YOU need to ...

Re: Carry questions- or Resurrecting a dead horse to beat

Guitarman thank you for bringing up the subject of training which is the essence of safety. My main goal here is to rely on training and intelligence for safety before man made devices which can fail. I realize I will be flamed for this but part of training is how to safely handle your firearm. And ...

Re: Carry questions- or Resurrecting a dead horse to beat

Exactly my point so what is the difference between carrying a snubbie without a mechanical safety and a pistol that has a heavy DA trigger pull without a safety? Just sayin............

Re: Carry questions- or Resurrecting a dead horse to beat

I carry with one in the chamber and safety off. With a trigger pull in excess of 10lbs even with the 17lb spring option I believe that this is the same as carrying a DA revolver, a type of sidearm carried for over a hundred years with a very small DA occurance. There is no such thing, in my opinion,...
