Walther P-38
This is interesting. A friend and myself had gotten a P-1 from SOG. It worked OK for a while, then the extractor blew out. Then we noticed (despite it having supposedly been checked out by a reputable gunsmith) that it had a fissure in the barrel. We ordered a new barrel and extractor. It fed OK and...

Find the cheapest ammo...
Space,
Thanks a lot for that site. I'd never heard of it before and have added it to my bookmarks.

First time out and loved it.
Trkfrye,
Glad you had such a good time. Everytime I pull out a P-64 and let others shoot it, they are always impressed by the accuracy and recoil. Over time, they are impressed with the reliability. This little pistol is still largely a 'sleeper' in the general shooting world.

CZ-82?
Folks: I went to the local gunshow here in Knoxville, Tennessee. I don't go to every gunshow, but I guess I go to about four or so a year, and have been for the past several years. This was the biggest one I had seen to date. No CZ-82's. Oddly, only a handful of Springfield XD's (another thing on my...

CZ-82?
Thanks to all. This is all very helpful, as I knew it would be. We're having a gun show out here today, and I may snag one there, but if not, will probably order one from Aim on Monday.
Again, many thanks.

CZ-82?
Folks: I own two P-64's and are very happy with both them. However, considering I have the C & R and could bring home a CZ-82, I have been debating on purchasing one, possibly from Aim Surplus, for some time. For those of you who have owned both the P-64 and the CZ-82, I was wondering if the CZ-...

Ammo to go
I don't have any trouble with either brown bear or silver bear. I like silver bear a bit better, though. It is a little 'crude' in terms of it's finishing, but it feeds perfectly well in my P-64's and is accurate. I've also used Sellier and Bellot and Fiochi with no problems. I've had not problems w...

What is your favorite revolver?
I have a Dan Wesson 8 inch Ventillated Heavy barrell, blued steel in .357 that I bough several years ago, second hand. I still can't understand why the owner traded it, because it is among the most accurate pistols I have ever shot. The other "favorite" revolver is a .22 RG 23. Yep, there ...

9 Luger shot shells?
trzeci98, Please on't feel bad about your question. I recall a good friend of mine insisting that if you a 9mm Mak that could shoot .380 with no problems. The truth is, it can shoot .380, but I wouldn't recommend it. My guess is that you could get tke 9mm shotshell to fire in your P-64, but there co...

How's P64 and PowR'ball?
nbender, Well, I learn something new everyday--at least when I plug into this excellent message board. No, I didn't know that Cor-bon and glaser had any relationship. The jugs ARE great fun. The problem is that you get only one shot! Still, we did this with a bunch of variations; such as leaving the...

How's P64 and PowR'ball?
nbender, et al., I tried out the 9mm Mak powrball over the weekend, and was extremely pleased. If you want to have some fun, load up a milk jug or laundry jug with water, screw the cap on very tightly and then get some good duct tape and tape the cap just to be sure. Then shoot with one well-placed ...

Longevity
Trkfrye, Welcome to the forum. You'll find a wealth of information here. There are some very 'in the know' folks and they don't crap on you for asking information--this place is a 'diamond in the rough' for gun forums. I would strongly advise getting the springs from Wolff. They'll help with the roc...

P-64 Range Report
I replaced my springs with the Wolff stuff, but I went 'lighter' with the hammer spring. It did take the DA pull down a bit. I will say that I like having the DA pull a little heavy, as I can work it with no problems, and it is hard enough to keep kids from pulling it and maybe even hard enough to m...

P-83 the replacement for the P-64
Yeah, that would be interesting reading. Too bad about the grips. Plastic or resin or wood, for that matter, is OK, but I wish someone would make hard rubber grips for the P-64. Maybe it'll get popular enough for someone to do it. Thanks for the info. I had always wondered what the Poles went to aft...

P-83 the replacement for the P-64
Hey, are those grips hard rubber? I don't guess that they could be adapted to the P-64 could they?
Thanks.
Thanks.
