BEWARE OF FRAUD P-83 (and others?)
Sounds like a scam. I was almost scammed when buying my P-83. The dealer shipped me a nice P-64. He claimed to be a small time internet dealer clearing out his last inventory. He did have an odd website, which is how I found the deal. I already had a P-64 and the price I paid for the P-83 was a lot ...

Polish Ball ammo
Mesko is great stuff. It feeds well. Mine is copper clad if that is a good description. Anyhow, AIM was selling it about a year or 2 ago. The boxes are neat, but broke easily if shipped which bothered some. I shot up all my broken boxes and kept a bunch of the yellow boxed ammo. It has a stout feel ...

New P-64 Caution
I have been exposed to too much over the years! I am particularly careful with hazardous chemicals. I use good ventilation in my shop extensively (fan) and in my outside cleaning areas. I use the correct PPE for my hands, eyes, and lungs. It is really pretty inexpensive if you are gonna use nasty ch...

9x18's
My P83 is great and I like just about everything about it. However, I do like the mag capacity of my CZ82 better. I especially like the mag release on my P83. I hope a bunch to come in since parts will be easier to get if I have a problem, but none so far. I am not dinging on P83's, but the P64 is a...

MY SECOND P-64
I am curious where the P64 with the messed up finish came from. For quite a while, like new, unissued ones were being sold.

P-83 the replacement for the P-64
They are hard plastic grips. I read somewhere that someone wanted to mod them for a P64 but I don't see how. I don't see where you'd get them either....
Tad of Dalvar said he was about out of P83 parts last I wrote with him.

P-83 the replacement for the P-64
I like my P83, but honestly, it is not as solidly made as a P64. It is made from stamped folded, welded sheet metal. The forward portion of the frame under the slide shows weld marks on the inside. However, the exterior of my P83 has an awesome shimming blued finish. I have the stampings on the slid...

P64 Magazines
I have 3 also. I will pick up some if I find them cheap, but otherwise I will stick with 3. That's my minimum for any pistol. The mag sellers at the gunshows here seem to come up with every kind of mag so I'll check there each show to see if I find one. SOG supposedly has/had them for 10 each.

Help my P-64 is failing to feed.
I have rarely heard about P64 mags having problems. IF you are gonna use it very much at all, you may want spare mags. SOG won't often mention the accessories they have, but I believe they still have mags for 10. Due to the low capacity you may want to pick up one or more just to have them, but also...

Help my P-64 is failing to feed.
I think Norm has something there. Lots of expertise from Norm. How many mags do you have? Same thing happen with them all? Are you using stock mags from SOG? Sounds like you cleaned the pistol, but did you disassemble and clean the mag(s)? Mine had a lot of cosmoline in them. I think the slide going...

Here is another GDHP source compliments of Nbender. I trust his recommendation on it. Maybe you've seen this data already. http://www.gunboards.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=110185 It is a little slower and a bit cheaper. I may get and try some of the S&S stuff in my Mak or CZ82. http://www.geor...

Been thinking about buying a P-64
I really like my Bulgarian Makarov. I like my Baikal Mak too. However, once I got my P64 working well, it is most likely my best accuracy 9x18 pistol. I can almost always shoot tighter groups at 7 and 15 yards (the 2 setups at my range) than with my CZ82 or my Bulgarian Mak. It takes some interest a...
