Re: PICKED UP THIS EAST GERMAN MAKAROV
$225 out the door? I find myself in grave danger of envy. Congratulations!

issues during first visit to range
I have stover's problem with my 1964. I thought I'd cleaned it thoroughly, but I haven't used brake cleaner. Sometimes the last round will stand up (almost vertical) between the mag and the chamber. I've been meaning to do some polishing and serious cleaning. I probably have at least 300 rounds thro...

SMC-918 Value?
I have an SMC-918 that I bought a while back as a collector piece, but I find I enjoy shooting more than collecting. I have wide hands, and the SMC-918 is just a bit smaller than I like shooting. The P-64 is great, but it just fits my hand. The SMC is just a bit shorter in the grip. So, I'd thought ...

Not sure what to make of this extraction problem
So last night, I got the urge to try out some of the snap caps I got from Makarov.com before they went out of business. Loaded one in the mag, seated the mag, racked the slide, pulled the trigger. So far, so good. Then I went to work the slide to extract the snap cap, and the slide wouldn't move. It...

Handgun/Rifle Storage
Two cheapo Stack-On security cabinets. One in the basement with a dessicant jar. One in the attic. The attic one is new, and I haven't put a dessicant jar in it yet. Handguns are sitting on the top shelf of the basement cabinet (lying, gently-placed, about 2 deep ::) ). I really ought to do somethin...

PA-63 - decocker discharges round
I seem to remember reading about the CZ-52's that if you replaced the original brittle firing pin with the better replacement that the decocker would not work.
I'd keep looking at the firing pin along the lines that Norm started you on. I'll bet something's wrong there.

I'll try to get off my fundament and get a photo in here. I'm going to post all the 9x18's in the house since they all started off as mine.

I think the conversion is worth a bit. I think I've read you can convert back and forth with just a barrel change. Has anyone else heard that?

Any import stamps to give you a clue? They often put on there what the gun is.

RED STORM HOLSTERS IS CLOSED
Norm - could you ask him what he has in stock? I'd been thinking about one right before his accident.
Would it be better for them if we waited to order something not in stock until he's got his new machine? Or are backorders better?

Should I give my son my PA-63?
Why wait til you're dead for them to inherit something of your when you can do it now and enjoy it? My thought exactly. That's what I'm working on. When I die, I want them to find a few guns to decide how to parcel out, but they will already have received a pistol, a .22, a shotgun, and a long gun ...

Should I give my son my PA-63?
I gave it to him. He was thrilled. He's 14, so I haven't seen his face light up like that in quite some time. Carguy- I gave the CZ-82 to my daughter for Christmas directly after some excellent shooting. She didn't really have to wait, and it was in addition to the "regular" Christmas pres...
