Wolff firing pin spring

I just did a full spring change (hammer, recoil, firing pin). Here are the steps you should follow to change the firing pin spring: 1. Put the firing pin spring in a little baggie and stuff it in your toolbox. 2. Crack open a beer and thank me for saving you some insane frustration! I wouldn't attem...

Odd observance at gun show

A friend of mine just picked one up at a show last week in PA for $185.00 (1974). Prices at the show ranged from $175-$200. I got mine a year and a half ago for $160.00 with two mags and 50 rounds.

I love the gun, but once you get into the 300's range, that is borderline PPK price.

I'm sure that sign will stop em, but what about when you are driving? Here is the (non-gun) solution:

My 1968 P64

I too have a 1968 model with the round hammer, and I found that the hammer tension and trigger appear to be heavier (at least to me) than the 1974 model a friend of mine purchased at the gun show last week.

I will probably try the new spring sets soon.

Hogue Handall Sleeve for CZAK

I use these on my pistol, and they seem to work well. Allocate some time to get them on the gun though, and heat them up good with a hair-dryer before you start.

I haven't really noticed any wardrobe malfunctions, both in pocket carry and "mexican".

Wood Grips

Do you find that the checkered wood gives you a good enough grip? I am using a hogue overgrip (PPK) on the factory grips right now.

Also, my grips have no thumbrest. Do you prefer with, or without the thumbrest. I love this little gun, but it does tend to jump around in the hand.
