Sear/sear spring problem and fix
bzinggg, I indeed inspected then properly cleaned and lubricated the firearm. I thought by giving it a good cleaning and lube the problem would disappear. It didn't so I had to go to more drastic measures. Thanks for pointing that out though. I wouldn't want anyone to go replacing something they rea...

Sear/sear spring problem and fix
Norm,
I thought of that. The firing pin springs are a little too big and not strong enough (at least for my purposes). But I agree with your "use what you have on hand" mentality. I am much that way myself. Heck, I even thought of taking apart some ballpoint pens for their springs

Sear/sear spring problem and fix
I'm at it again. I found another problem with my p64 and subsequently fixed it. The problem presented itself when dry firing (with snap caps of course) in double action. I pulled the trigger, hammer moved back and released. I then released my finger from the trigger and reapplied it to dry fire agai...

Safety dropping on while shooting
Walther PP safety plungers fit nicely. Check this thread: http://p64.proboards67.com/index.cgi?bo ... 933&page=1

FYI: Walther PP Safety Plunger Fits
Ok, I have removed my safety to snap some photos. New walther plunger and spring are on the left. Original p64 plunger and spring are on the right. The other photos are closeups of the plungers. You can see the point of the original plunger has worn flat. The new spring is a little larger in diamete...

FYI: Walther PP Safety Plunger Fits
I'm glad to pass information along, that's what these places are for! I'll try to take it apart again and post some comparative pictures. I will also try to find the receipt to get the exact part numbers and post it in both this thread and in the "Safety Drop" thread.

FYI: Walther PP Safety Plunger Fits
I recently aquired a p64 and upon initial disassembly and inspection I found that the point on the safety plunger was worn and no longer "clicked" into the safety detents. On a hunch I ordered a new plunger and spring from numrich's for a walther pp for a few bucks. It fits perfectly and t...

PA-63 question
I have a pa-63 and did the same thing you did. Disassembled and the extractor parts came flying out. Strange thing though. My pistol doesn't have a safety plunger as pictured in the diagrams. Instead it has a small ball bearing. It had me so confused when I went to put it back together looking at th...

Just got my new custom grips for my P64
Those do look really nice. Is Dennis having problems with his email? I've emailed him once a few weeks ago and once yesterday to order two sets of grips but got no replies. Anyone else having problems getting ahold of him?
