Handgun/Rifle Storage

I live in SW Fla next to a salt water canal. Not the best environment for guns...LOL My pistols are stored on metal racks in the gun safe. Of course my house is climate controlled and I always wipe the guns down with BreakFree. I have had no rust problems at all. I do check them about once a month t...

How many have a CHL?

I have had my Fla. concealed permit since 1993, soon after it became a law. I carry most of the time but always have a gun in the car with me. Used to carry my Astra 75, then Beretta21 in 22 cal. Sold it at a gun show 2 years ago and immediately bought a P64 as a carry gun. The 64 is just the right ...

Ft.Myers Gun Show

Made a trip to the Ft.Myers show yesterday. $3.00 for parking ??? .Come-on...Oh well I was there. Very busy show, first P64 I saw was $225.00 ! As I walked on farther I came across TG-Imports from WP Beach with a armory box full at $189.00. Not a bad price these days and he had a pretty good selecti...

Range Report

Don,
Its pretty nice, pistol and rifle ranges. It cost $3.00 a person or $6.00 a carload...pretty cheap! Its obviously not as crowded during the week and if you can, thats when I would go. Get on the web and do a search for the times..I believe its open until 6:00 most days.

Range Report

Went out last Friday with my daughter and a old shooting buddy to a local outdoor range (Cecil Webb Management Area near Punta Gorda,Fl). I had given her a 357 revolver to take home with her and wanted to make sure she was familiar with it. She grew up around my guns and hunting but has not shot in ...

Ft.Myers Gun Show 12/10/06

Just got back from the guns show and wanted to report. Saw only 2 sellers with P64's. One was in a display with other small pistols, he wanted $230 !!! How ever the other seller had a selection of 9x18 pistols. He was asking $149 which was what I paid for mine a year ago. Not a bad price. I looked a...

New safe purchase questions

For lighting, a small strip of rope lights works well and if left on will probably provide enough heat to keep moisture at bay. I have a smaller safe (550lbs) here in Fla that is inside the house (I live on a salt water canal) but I have no rust or mositure problems at all. The safe guy said that as...

How do you clean your P64

I bought a large bottle of milspec Breakfree CLP many years ago and still using it. I use Tetra teflon grease on moving or bearing surfaces. This has worked well for me in humid south Fla. for many years. I have been thinking about a wax for my carry P-64 as the oil does rub off. A was that many col...

The wood used was cocobolo and the lighter area is just a color variation in the wood..
