Your first P-64, when?

I've had mine I'm guessing about 6 months now. I wanted to get a CCW for my wife that was small, accurate, dependable, and packed enough punch to get the job done in a tight spot. So I let her pick out a weapon she would be comfortable with, and she picked the P-64. :)

So what else are people shooting?

I'll forgive ya this time erehwesle. Considering the large number of people who have never even heard of it. I've heard of them. As a matter of fact if I hadn't overstepped my spending allowance at the last gun show(like who hasn't ever said that before ;)), I probably would have come home with one...

Triangular or round hammer?

Mine is round. I didn't know there was a triangular until I came here. But I would have to say I like the rounded better because I carry an inside-the-pants holster. I have found sharp edges to be uncomfortable.

Your location

cruiser, I got you! I understand now, DUH!!! Mine shows as Upstate SC and you are in Ohio. I lived for 1 year in Youngstown, Ohio while working on a project with General Motors at Lordstown, Ohio. Ohio is a great area and there is a gun show about every weekend within easy driving distance. I made ...

You're allowed to make your own for personal use. Just not allowed to sell them. ;)

Another P-64 Info Source

Here's a website that I used before I found this place. It's not as good as the manual already listed, but still worth taking a look at. http://www.makarov.com/others/ I tried to post this in the manual section, but it must be locked. Feel free to move wherever necessary. http://www.makarov.com/grap...

Anyone tried the recoil spring fix?

I'll definately give this a try because my 64 has a bite. It may also help to get P-64 springs started with Wolff. Wow, I am really learning a lot here. Up until now I mostly only played with rifles.

My response to P-64 snobs

It may not be a real Mak, but I still wouldn't want to be standing 5o yards downrange of the thing. :o I somehow don't believe the "real" Mak enthusiast would be laughing and making fun of it at that time either. ;D

My response to P-64 snobs

I haven't really ran into any snobs, but I have been told they weren't real Maks. After I had ordered but before I got mine, I assumed the parts from a Russian or Bulgarian would interchange with these. Someone had pointed out that these were different and the parts were not interchangeable. They sa...

P-64 jams

I wish that I could post photo of a jam here, but don't know how. Upload the image to a image host. Photobucket is a good one and it's free. Then copy the url in a post here and put (img) at the beginning and (/img) at the end: Such as:(img)www.photobucket.com/image#(/img) Only you need to use the ...

How did you find us?

Somebody posted a like over at www.gunco.net

I had posted some pics over there of my P-64 and I believe it was BKBrno that told me about this place. SangRun Hunter and 7.62x39 are the admins over there if you want to talk business.
