I am carrying the P-64 as my primary weapon. I am satisfied with the reliability of this gun, I trust it to fire when needed. I own 2 makarov's,but the P-64 is just as reliable Imho. What do you carry. Regards Daniel

Thanks for everyones help, I will use silver bears when I shoot again and then switch to the norinco and laquered shells and see if there is any difference. Regards Dan

used the same mags. It just won't shoot anything other than the brown bear or norinco, I tried about 7 mags of silver bear hp's and fmj, It jammed every single time.

Took my p-64 to the range today. Fired 50 rnds of norinco fmj and 50 rnds of brown bear laquered fmj. did not have one jam or ftf. it was flawless with these rounds. but when I went to fire the silver bear fmj and hp's it jammed after every first round. :) :) Ok, I took my P-64 to the range this morning. I took 100 rounds of silver bear and 100 rounds of norinco both fmj. I started with 5 rounds in the mag,put one in the chamber and put another round in the mag for 5-1 fired with no problems. I shot the 5-1 combo for about a 100 rounds with no jams...

All I can say now is that if I load 5 in a mag and put one in the chamber, The gun ejects and feeds fine, If I load 6 in the mag and one in the chamber it jams. also when there are 6 in the mag I dont get a solid click when loading the mag, but with 5 in the mag, I get get a solid lock when seating ...

I have been trying other rounds in the gun silver bear fmj and hp. cci and norinco, all of them feed and eject just fine, with no jamming as long as i load 5 in the mag, once i have put 1 in the chamber i load another one in the mag. 5 and 1 this seems to be working ok. Dan

If I keep 5 in the mag and one in the chamber, I have no jamming with the norinco shells. I have not shot it like this yet, but it seems to be working ok by hand. I appreciate all the help and the humor, I will not give up on this neat little gun. Regards Dan

Also, I put norinco bullets in mag and am having less jamming, But if put 6 rnds in the mag, when i depress the top bullet to check the tention, the top bullett pushes downward and sticks, when i put 5 rnds in the mag all the buletts push downward. and I have little or no jamming with 5 of the norin...

The first bullet always go's in the barrel, I eject that one and the next bullet jams. unloaded the gun works and slides fine. Dan

I am letting the side slam back on its own, it jams no matter what I do. very flustrating, I want this gun to work. Thanks Dan
