brake cleaner? Beware!
Only an idiot would use something as volitile as brake/carb cleaner and then immediately apply a heat source without letting the cleaner fully evaporate.

US ATTEMPTS TO RE-DEFINE SWITCHBLADES
The knife people have been pissing everyone off with thier scare tactics. It would NOT make most pocket knives illegal. The ONLY thing this would do is reclassify certain knives as switchblades which would then make them NON IMPORTABLE. Customs Service has absolutely no authority to make decisions o...

Which recoil spring and hammer spring?
My first P-64 got the 18lb spring. It was perfect. However, my 2nd P-64 was still way to stiff double-action with the 18lb spring. I dropped down to a 17lb and it feels nice. DA pull is still a little stiff but SA pull is very sweet. No mag dropping or FTF yet so I think I'm dialed in good. Bottom l...

First, try some very fine steel wool or brass/copper wool and any good oil as a lubricant. It won't do any harm and just might make it look good enough to satisfy you.

cold bluing
If you want to do the whole gun, you might want to try Belgian bluing. Go to Youtube and watch the Midway USA video on how to do it.
By the way, Youtube has a bunch of Midway gunsmithing videos. Very informative stuff.

FEG AP-MBP .32 - Which Wolff Springs?
I've got one of them. I used the 11lb hammer spring - worked perfectly. I did not change the recoil spring. Don't need to. The .32 is so weak in recoil that changing the spring wasn't necessary.

Anybody try the new DeSantis M44 holster?
The M44 Super Fly is supposed to be an improvement over the Nemesis. Looks like it sells for about $12 more than the Nemesis. I wonder if it is worth the extra cash.

P64 spring choice
I went 20/18 in my first P-64. It loved that combination. In my 2nd P-64, the 18lb mainspring was still too much for a good trigger pull so I had to drop down to a 17lb.

If you are shooting un-modified P-64's then I'm sure much of your dissatisfaction comes from the bad double-action trigger pull. People on this board have long ago figured out the way to make the trigger pull very nice.

Why can't I find Silver Bear JHP's
Trent, everybody has plenty of FMJ's. I'm wondering why nobody but Hornady is still making JHP's.

Why can't I find Silver Bear JHP's
I'm out of ammo and none of the normal on-line dealers seem to stock Silver Bear hollow points any more. In fact, the only hollow points at all I'm seeing are Hornady. I like the Hornady loads, but I don't feel like taking out a mortgage to build my supply back up.

New forum problem - back button disabled
On most forum sites with the floating banner problem, you are correct. More clicks brings you back. However on this one, once I have viewed an actual post in any forum, I can backup to that forum page but never get past that to the main forum index page. Seriously annoying.

New forum problem - back button disabled
I've just noticed that another technical issue has popped up (at least for me). When I open one of the forums, I can no longer use the back button to get back to the main forum list page. I can use the down-arrow (that lists the 10 or so most recent pages) and the page I want to go to is now about 3...
