Trigger polishing?(To Saands and any others)

I am not certain, but I think the hitch may be in the hammer rocking on the two notches of the rod the hammer spring is on.

A tale of two P-64s

All parts are visually identical. It's only upon assembly that differences in tolerence may show up.

A tale of two P-64s

Why do you prefer the triangular hammer? I like the rounded one for concealed carry. BTW, I decided I wasn't ready to give up on the hammer swap. I did figure that the hammer and hammer spring rod need to go together. The decock still wouldn't work on one, so I swapped the stamped piece in the trigg...

I have two P-64s. One is a '69 and the other is a '74. Both appear to be unfired in excellent condition. I received my Wolf springs tonight and decided to work them over. The '69 has the rounded hammer and the '74 has the triangular one. I like the rounded one on the '69 better but the finish is bet...

Replacing the mainspring for lighter DA pull

I received a 13, 14, & 16# spring in the mail today. I haven't fired it yet but think the 13# will work fine. I'll check back after doing so.

Anyone tried the recoil spring fix?

I installed a P7 spring tonight. I had to remove exactly 7 1/4 coils to get it installed. However, I'm not happy with the spring. It has a larger OD than the original spring and is rough and noisy in operation. I have not fired it with it. I intend to use the stock spring unless recoil becomes a pro...
