7 round mag

Just wanted to add one more thing since this thread popped up again. After I modded the mags, one side effect I didn't notice immediately (because I never fired the gun with those modified mags till recently) Is that once you cut the follower like that, it tilts slightly and drags on the mag body af...

7 round mag

I was just messing with this the other day and even with the follower shortened, the mag spring completely collapses before you can get a 7th round in. I haven't had feeding problems with the shorter follower, but it is harder to load the mag with the first two rounds of ammo. Another problem is, on...

extended floor plate for magazine

If someone were to make an extended floorplate it wouldn't be a bad idea to design it as a +1 mag extender. Even going as far as designing a whole new mag with a 7 or 8 rd capacity wouldn't be a bad idea. Keltec offers both of those accessories for most of their pistols and they are very popular add...

Wood grips durable???

Durability really depends on the type of wood. Walnut is pretty hard and crack resistant. I'd say probably stronger than the plastic grips that come on most guns. The finish is very important with wood though, cause if it isnt waterproof and it soaks up water it will not only look bad but it will sw...

Higher capacity magazines?

I noticed that there is now a company making original replacement mags for us, but does anyone know of anyone making anything that holds more than 6 rounds? I was examining the factory mag the other day and was considering trying a follower from a Keltec P3AT or P32 magazine to see if the thinner fo...

Replacing the mainspring for lighter DA pull

The Keltec P11 doesnt have a firing pin block, but the hammer is internal (except during the DAO pull, it appears out of the back of the slide for a moment), floats off the firing pin and weighs so little it doesnt have the inertia to hit the firing pin if dropped. A neat way to get around a firing ...

sources of empty brass?

I have a manual case trimmer. I might try a few conversions just to say I've done it, but I guess I'll stick to picking up my empties when I shoot brass or buy a bag of new stuff.

sources of empty brass?

I picked up a die set for 9x18 so I could reload for my P64, but I havent seen 9x18 brass anywhere. I have a little bit of once-used brass sitting around, but I have been shooting alot of wolf poly coated steel to save money... and well, you cant reload those. One thought I had was that normal 9mm b...

MFS ammo & other +P stuff in P-64

Yeah, if they say it's +P and it actually isnt, it would be safe to fire in their PA-63 and they would still get the extra sales that +P designation would generate.

I dont know if that's their game, but it seems entirely possible to me.

Stupid question

Yeah, all the auction sites are like that, ebay, gunbroker...etc.. I saw a guy trying to sell a mossberg 702 plinkster .22lr on gunbroker for $160 plus shipping.... I can go to walmart and buy the exact same model for $89. I asked him if he knew that and he said people buy them from him all the time...

Punishing recoil?

It does have noticeable recoil, but it's very tolerable. It's not nearly as bad as some guns. I had a Keltec P40, and the recoil on that 14oz .40 S&W was enough to make nearly anyone develop a learned flinch. I loved that gun.... despite the recoil. I sold it because I could never shoot it well....
