I dont understand not choosing a weapon based on the DA pull? Folks have been carrying SA 1911's for years. Now that is a heavy DA Pull.
Just cock the damn thing and shoot.

Trigger harder at the end of Pull?
After some wheeling and dealing with a fellow forum member, I found myself with a aselection of new springs to try in my P-64. After trying them all I ended up leaving the 14# spring in the gun. It made a drastic difference, but it is still a pretty hard pull. Getting bold and using the instructions...

Does all Walther gear work?
Like justplainbill, I have been carrying mine in the pager pal.
My problem has not been what the gun will fit in, but what I can wear concealed and confortable.

Range with new P64
I'm not being a dick or anything but why are you guys having such a hard time with this pistol? I have shot 100 rounds out of it (I admit only 50 at a time) and haven't gotten bit, sore, slapped, pinched or otherwise hurt. I just don't get what you guys are doing that you need gloves and such. Mong...

Sight Enhancement
Very interesting abwehr. I have heard of the point and shoot technique, but nothing quite like this. I will have to try closing my eyes at the range using this idea. Of course it may concern my fellow shooters when they see my eyes closed.

Thats a lot of Why's there Mongo. Why do all of the TV reality series have confrontations? It makes good TV! How boring it would be if there wasn't a little fussing going on from time to time. I always reserve my judgement as to whether a fella has any sense until he gives his oppinion on something....

Gunsmithing Coarse
Has anyone ever taken the gunsmithing course offered by Professional Career Development institute? It looks pretty good as a starting place for a want to be gunsmith. It is a correspondence course that includes 19 lessons and some basic tools and costs less than $500. If you have any experience with...

Better then a Makarov? Possible
You know, I always liked the Makarov and the guys on the Mak Forum, but after I found the P-64 and searched the Mak Forum for information I found out that some of the guys were Mak "snobs"! There are a lot of handguns which I don't care for, but it is a personnal thing with me. There is n...

When I leave the house the P-64 is in my pocket. My Maks are in the box that I take to the range.

Welcome onapar, I ran into a gunsmith at a gun show yesterday and he gave me some advice on improving the DA pull. He suggested using a degreasing gun cleaner on the hammer/sear parts and getting all oil off of them. He said to dry fire the pistol about a zillion times and the result will be burnish...
