Re: Buffalo Wild Wings bans CC
I work at Kroger and we don't have signs posted banning concealed carry. I'm not sure if employees are allowed to CC, but I do it anyways, especially since I usually work nights, sometimes by myself. In the event that the store is held up, we are told to just give them the money. I really don't car...

Re: Buffalo Wild Wings bans CC
Give the criminal everything they want, eh? Okay, but my items come with a free side of 45 slugs! Pitiful thing about this type of policy is that they prohibit people from defending themselves but they make no effort to ensure their safety while on their premises. You would think that would open th...

Re: Buffalo Wild Wings bans CC
I think that's pretty much what I did. Didn't mention it in the local store at all. Just sent one comment to their website and have been passing the word around since. Found out I'm not the only one or even the first since I Googled it and got a lot of hits on the subject, especially on other gun-re...

I guess it's like a cheap lock set: only meant to keep honest men out.

Re: Buffalo Wild Wings bans CC
Everybody who has a CCW here has the short form of the do-not-enters printed on the back so CCW carriers are supposed to know better. If they had worded it in a different way, say "state laws prohibits..." , I wouldn't have paid it any attention. Don't know about any local incidents but it...

Buffalo Wild Wings bans CC
Just made my last visit to my local Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant. They now have a sign which says "Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. bans guns on these premises." Never noticed it before so it must be new. Here is the (quick) reply I got and the wording of the complaint I sent below it: “Buffalo W...

Re: Too good not to share!
Don't know about the P64 but I could definitely tell a difference on my Mak when I switched to Pearce grips. The only trouble with them is they make the gun as wide as a double-stack.

Re: Too good not to share!
Fill me in on those grips. Are they the nice-looking checkered models I've seen pictured here sometimes?

Re: Buffalo Bore 9X18 Coming Soon
It seems to me that there has always been a discussion of well, every round that is in use, to push the limits of its performance. The question is where the ultimate safe limit should be. There is a simpler solution: buy a gun that shoots a more powerful round. I'm not saying this as someone for who...

Re: Too good not to share!
The downside of military surplus is the lack of warranty. The upside is that any milsurp in decent condition should at least be reliable.

Re: Buffalo Bore 9X18 Coming Soon
I know this thread is getting a little old, and that it has veared off-subject, but I wanted to weigh in with an opinion, if I might. First, I respect Chuck Hawks. I have read several of his articles both on firearms and motorcycles and he seems both sensible and balanced. Second, there was indeed a...

Re: Ammo prices. Wow!
I'm guessing that they must be pretty successful at selling to the stupid ones. Otherwise they'd just be sitting on all those boxes. I've actually seen people show up to buy with coaster wagons to haul it off.

Re: new MAK
Have done some looking at these and other airguns so I can go out in my own backyard and get some practice. They have some really sophisticated airsoft autos at places like Pyramidair that are pretty expensive but really well-made, complete with blowback action and good sights. The latest thing I've...

Re: Why Makarov vs. Tokarev?
I've read that in Europe, a pistol was thought of as more of an officer's badge of office than a combat weapon. Hence the use of pistols even in 25 ACP in some places. I guess the Russians were influenced by the same thinking. The U. S. went there and back, issuing a 38 revolver to officers who foun...
