I bagged one for the freezer.
If my target rates the best I will not accept the title of winner because of winning the independence day shoot. Give it to the next best entry.

Heres a pic of a little paint on the sights. I like the look of green on the rear and orange on the front.

Independence Day Shoot Postings
Happy independence day everyone. The fireworks show is over and the kids are in bed. I just posted my yesterday target in the Independence day shootout site. I practiced with one inch dots to find my point of impact. I had to hold about 2 inches low at that range. Here is a picture of a target I kep...

Informal email-in shooting competition
Good Idea.
Would judging be smallest group size or points in the rings. Or points in rings and tie breaker/s be group size.?

How's P64 and PowR'ball?
devlinfaust,
Did you notice any difference in point of impact compared to other ammo you have used? UPS just dropped off 2 boxes 9x18 mak Pow'Rball and 2 boxes .380 ACP DPX's for my Bersa CC. It came from Ammo to go. It might be a few days till I get out to try them.

How's P64 and PowR'ball?
Thanks for all the responses. Norm yes those reloads are mine. So far I only loaded cheap 93 grain Meister LRN bullets. They plink good with a light charge, they shoot a few inches higher than most. (can't figure that out?) Since my carry guns are marginal power for self defense. .380 and 9x18. I wa...

How's P64 and PowR'ball?
Has anyone had any experience with these bullets in their P64? I carry this gun on occasion and want it loaded with the best defense load. So far I have had no jams/misfires with. 50 Fed FMJ, 100 Silver Bear 94JHP, and about 200 LRN reloads. I've heard the Silver Bear JHP's don't expand well. If the...

WTB Grips, in plastic
Hi, Anyone out there know where I gan get some plastic Zee grips or original flat grips for a P64. I would possibly settle for thumb rest grips. The thumbrest grips that came with my 1970 developed one big crack and many hairline cracks after about 300 rounds. I do think the wood looks nice but I'd ...

9X18 Makarov brass
Trimming down 9x19 luger worked good for me. I used the Lee trimmer and gauge. Chucked it up to my Dewalt drill and went at it. I picked up about 600 cases at the range, got lucky all them were shooting Win white box, so I went with that. Cost $0 Lee trimmer and gauge shellholder. Cost about $9 Depe...

New P-64 in my collection!
I got my first p-64 from SOG a few weeks ago. It is a 1970 with the thumbrest grips, and a rounded hammer. I am happy with it. It had a few specks of rust on the slide tho. I coated it with CLP for a day then scratched it off with my fingernail. I do not see the marks anymore :) I purchased 2 additi...
