Spring question HELP

I bought the P - 64 from a gun shop. They said they thought that the hard DA pull would make it hard to sell so they changed out the spring to fix it. Well it did indeed make the DA pull great but they obviously did not test fire the gun for results because with the new installed spring the gun woul...

Spring question HELP

NORMSUTTON, Your tip on using the needle (I used paperclip) through the little hole and the help of a vise and visegrips was right on. Along with the "how to thread" I got the spring in with less trouble than I figured. The DA pull is noticeably harder than it was but still acceptable. I p...

New CCW holders

The police can search my car or my person if they want, I am completely law abiding and have nothing to hide. Police are the good guys just like me. They are on my side.

thumbrest grips

It seems that I am very much in the minority but I really don't mind the thumbrest grips on the P-64. To me it looks alright and feels alright too. However......... I have read that they are prone to breaking with use so I may break down and buy a set of black flat grips if only to have for spares. ...

New CCW holders

I is my understanding that they can do that but they all do not. The issuance of the licenses is a matter of public record that can be looked up. That doesnt mean that they must be posted. It is the countys that are against citizens having CCW's that do that. They believe posting names is a deterant....

New CCW holders

Today my wife and I picked up our Ohio CCW license. I will be carrying my P-64 as soon as I can buy an appropriate holster for it. I'll be shopping for one this weekend. I'm sure it will feel odd carrying a pistol in public till I get used to it.

Spring question HELP

2 questions : 1. Where is the little washer going to be that I keep reading about? I don't want to have to do this twice if I dont have to. 2. Is it true that the heavier the spring the lighter the SA trigger pull? I read that some people thought the #18 or lower springs made the SA pull dangerous f...

Spring question HELP

My P-64 had already had a spring replacement when I bought it. The DA pull is nice when dry fired but at the range it will not discharge a round at all. Also sometimes the magazine falls out when firing. Also about 50% of the item the slide will not lock in the rear position after last round is fire...

Sellier & Bellot 9x18

My wife and I applied for the CCW this morning and were told our permits would be available by thursday. A large gun show is in my area this weekend so I plan to go there and purchase a few holsters for conceal carry. I will need one for the P-64 and one for a 38 revolver.

Sellier & Bellot 9x18

The qualifying at the CCW class did go well but unfortunately it was not what I'd call enjoyable as it was pouring down rain. The class was rain or shine and I was soaked and my P64 was too when it was over. Bottom line is that both my wife & I passed the training. The handguns got a thorough cl...

9x18 Ammo sources

I went to "AIM" in person this week and bought 9x18 ammo. I just wanted to say that they seem like a nice bunch to do business with and were very friendly.

Shootin' groups............

I'm with you nicksterdemus. Noway could I get a 2" group at 25yds. Lately I've been shooting 7" round targets from 25 feet and I get 4" to 5" groups. From 75 ft I could consistanly hit a siluette type target but not with a tight group. I shoot standing using both hands. Some say ...
