Rob, You will grow to love this little gun.
If the p-64 is working properly the hammer cannot travel forward to contact the firing pin unless the trigger is in the pulled or rear position much like a newer revolver so it should not go off if dropped.
Wlcome to the board!!!!

What I learned about my p-64 today . . .

The hammer cannot travel forward and contact the firing pin unless the trigger is in the rearward position like a modern DA revolver with a...

Saands, All of my springs are stock right now but I have been wanting to order some. What spring combo are you using? I was thinking 20# for both.

I'm a Bit Distressed About the Forum Tonight
Sorry NB. I have never had any conversation with Bartos. I have learned a lot from his posts though.
I do wish him safe travels and thanks for serving.

New Dennis grips
Wow! :-/ Dennis' grips keep looking better and better. I have the original design and thought they were a little bulky for carry so they are on one of the safe queens. I may have to break down and get another set.
Are they thinner than the original design?

P-64 Pricing
I have 4 and paid between $139 and $190 OTD. 2 of them are just about perfect. the $139 is my '76 and is now the roughest since the '71 had a makeover. ;D I bought a few spare parts from TN Guns as I plan to carry one of these for a long time and will pass one on to each of my boys when they are old...

I believe I got one of the last 4 that SOG had a few months ago. My dealer was there picking up some other stuff and saw 4 that were ordered and never picked up and he knew I would want another. What a guy........

Trigger face
Dan, That info is like finding a needle in a haystack. :-* That explains why one of mine has the same serrated mark inside the trigger guard. Oops! I guess he slipped. ;D I guess grips must have been changed around at some time or another as all of mine are flat but I have one trigger that is not se...
