Re: Just got my P64, seems very difficult to rack slide and flip safety

I've had good luck with seating the hammer strut on it's pivot and using the mag catch itself to compress the spring. I basically just grip the (unloaded :!: ) gun upside down and use my thumb to press in. (A strip of masking tape works to keep skin getting caught between spring coils.) I typically ...

Re: PI Update

Russ,

Do you have any pictures of the brown option?

Edit:
Recieved the grip/emr combo today. Nice chocolatey brown color.

Pic attached for posterity

Re: How do I get this unusual stockbolt off?

Looking at mine right now, and actually thinking back more clearly, it is likely a standard thread. There is very little chance that the old JC higgins my stock came from was metric. My best guess would be a 1/2" bolt with 1/4"-20 threads ~6" long. Take the one that came off wi...

Re: WANTED: Wood furniture for Armscor M5

No recoil pad, and the OEM rubber off the synthetic stock is a hair undersized, but will work. I am planning on getting one of these Image

Re: How do I get this unusual stockbolt off?

Yep, 12mm or 13mm iirc. I ended up using a 1/4" drive ratchet, a the socket walls on a 3/8" drive were too thick to get down into the pocket. edit: The socket for removal shouldn't matter, the 3/8" drive was too thick for the wood stock. HOWEVER, I think the bolt was too long for my s...

Re: WANTED: Wood furniture for Armscor M5

Numrich lists the K-121 stock as #745910B, the Model 200 is #745910A, likely same stock, different checkering/finish/trim

I have read (but not verified) that Mossberg 500 furniture can be pretty reasonably adapted to the M5

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO

New to the forum, may as well introduce myself. PolishIron's (Russ?) grips are the thing that reeled me in to the forum. Proud P64 owner, ties in to my Polish heritage. My grandmother was a WWII "bringback" The P64 was my second handgun, after a S&W mod. 19 ( I guess you could ca...

Re: WANTED: Wood furniture for Armscor M5

Just finished fitting a Flite King k121 stock set to my M5 (great little trench gun BTW). The buttstock went on with little to no effort, the forend required inletting for the double action bars (Flite King was single bar). 20170805_174818.jpg Also, I had to cut around 2" off the muzzle end of ...
