Re: threaded barrel for pa63 or p64???????

I see two solutions. A) flute the chamber with flutes at a 7 degree angle. B) Use a much stiffer recoil (and firing pin, mainspring). I like A as the mainspring is also the trigger spring and who wants a 40 pound trigger pull?

You will also find that while rolling around on the ground with 2 guys trying to smash your skull with a hammer or a rock that unzipping your pants to reach a pistol is problematic. Also they tend to notice that and grab what is in your hand.

Re: Alternative to safes?

A small student type refrigerator with a welded on padlock and hasp should meet your needs. If needed replace the feet with Dolly wheels. Please note the very best gun safw will stop a 10 year old, but none of them will stop a determined 11 year old with access to tools.

Re: Gunsmith/ parts special P64 at Classic

In my opinion once it passed a few hundred for the guns that were broken it became an overpriced item.

Re: Case Rim Damage

These were pistols for military use with non predictable ammunition sources. Reloading the ammunition afterwards is not something the Warsaw Pact envisioned. Reliability of parts function was.

Re: New to P64s and jazzed!

The real problem is the 'establishment' not carrying a good selection of 9x18 ammunition at the local Walmart.
Personally, I would love to see a Winchester Silvertip in this caliber. :)

Re: New to P64s and jazzed!

None at all. I use this holster and have zero problems. I chose the brand/model I did because the height profile is about as similar as you will find. I ran through a dozen rounds rapid fire yesterday and I am pleased to report the tack weld method described works quite well and the sight stays in p...

Thanks. Makes it a better, more modern, pocket pistol IMO.

Re: P-64's increasing in " Value " ?

Given that they aren't being made anymore one should in the next decade or two expect to see some price increase. Right now the market is saturated, but that will change. We saw this with Lugers after WWII when you could buy one for about $15 mail order. LoL, not anymore.

Re: Increased magazine capacity

For the longest time (like 2 years) I was stymied about how to deepen the magazine floor plate. Then today while playing with a piece of delrin I was thinking why not make two halves of a floor plate then fuse them together?

Re: Front sight replacement

I have an old Colt 1903 slide with zip/Nada/no historical significance as when I got it I got it parted from it's original pistol and with a badly pitted and rusty exterior. I had it polished down and the factory markings redone by an engraver, however they are not original stamps (just very well do...

Re: New to P64s and jazzed!

This is/was a non-reversible, happily Bubba, one way conversion. The Hi Viz Spark III Shotgun sight was, after much viewing or other fiber optic sight patterns from both Hi Viz and other makers, chosen as the height and shape most appropriate for this pistol size and design. Also it has the plus of ...
