Not really any input except I am happy you got it figured out. My only SKS is Chinese with the National Security Forces markings.

I take my P-64 to the range and carry it. Hornady makes defensive ammo for 9x18 and there are a lot of vendors that make reloading components for the caliber. It carries easily and is VERY ACCURATE! I got out to the range today and ran the new magazines in my shooter and they both performed perfectly after the alterations to the top of the feed lips.
