Re: CAD Model

That’s the only way I can think of making a detailed CAD drawing is to find a qualified draftsman willing to do it. I can tell you as a retired draftsman if I would’ve do it I would charge you a heck of a lot more than the cost of the gun it’s self

Re: CAD Model

Yeah probably find a 3D scanner and software that will convert it to CAD... The problem with a scanned image is that it’s a raster image and is not very precise. cad drawings are vector drawings. Based on a given distance in the X,Y,Z directions. unless you’re digitized image has true dimensions on...

Re: Numrich has "New" magazines

Well I finally made it to the range yesterday. I put about 50 rounds through my P 64 with the new magazine. It operated flawlessly! Absolutely no difference between the new magazine and the original! I ordered another one! Certainly beats the heck out of the ridiculous money they are going for on pl...

Re: Numrich has "New" magazines

Nope! No makers marks what so ever! It’s definitely new manufacturer and as best as I can tell it matches up pretty exact to my original magazine. Still haven’t been to the range yet but like I said it dry cycles fine.

Re: Numrich has "New" magazines

Ordered one last week and it came today! Looks pretty good everything matches up haven’t had a chance to shoot it yet but it cycles fine! The price is a heck of a lot better than the 50 bucks plus shipping I’ve seen originals go for. Specially if you’re not looking for collectibility and just have a...

CH4D file trim die

I just got my new,CH4D file trim die. Boy what a pleasure to use! I have been trimming my 9x19 brass to 9x18 with a Lyman universal trimmer. It work ok, but after a 100 or so cases, boy did my wrist and hand get sore/tired. Tried the Lee trimmer same thing, worked ok till I wore it out (I’ve been th...

Re: Ouch

When I first fired mine l had the same problem. Until I realized I was holding the grip to high. I found that if I tried to squeeze all my fingers on the grip it pushed my hand up high enough that the slide would bite every time. My solution was to grip lower with my pinky completely off the grip. I...

Re: Don't change the springs.

I just picked up a copy of a magazine called military surplus, specifically because it had a rather nice article on the P64. It went into some detail on the stiff da trigger, and the reasoning behind it. I t seems the d signers were concerned with ad' s (or if you prefer negligent discharge ) in add...

Re: Any Makarov bullet casters?

I started casting a couple months ago, and now the only round I don't yet make is the .365 for the P-64. Worked out a deal with a guy that supplies me with free WW, and wife brings home some Lead/Antimony alloy, so only expense is a little mono I bought and some tin from solder. Ends up costing $0....

Re: Grind down

Why would you grind a case? Why not trim it? There are plenty of case trimmers out there. From the inexpensive around $30 on up to a couple hundred. Any and all would do a better job than trying to grind them.

Re: Loading the 9x18mm w/ Luger brass

I don't know if anyone has read my post looking for Makarov brass but I checked out starline and they want $87.50 for 500 rounds of Makarov brass. I don't know about anyone ealse but I can't see the advantages of paying $.18 a round for brass. Maybe if I was shooting competition with my Makarov or P...

Re: Makarov brass

Like I said in my op trimming I can do I've got over 5000 Luger cased. I'm not even worried abou loosing brass. As for marking brass, I've been marking brass for years with machinist red dye so that I know when a case has been loaded for the last time. My biggest concern is I already load 9mm Luger ...

Makarov brass

Hi all I want to start reloading for my P64 and my Makarov I've got dies, molds for the cast bullets I make. I all set except for one thing. All the ammo I have is steel or aluminum cased. I know I can trim 9mm Luger brass, but I don't want to do that unless I have know other choice. I load and shoo...

Re: Loading the 9x18mm w/ Luger brass

Why go through the hassle of 9 x 19 to 9 x 18 when Starline sell the brass for 9 x 18 Mak? Have around a 1000 cases purchased direct from Starline (they cover shipping costs) and they do not wear out. Daven Starline wants 87.50 for 500 rounds of Makarov (9x18) brass. That's $ .18 a round for brass!...
