Shot mine today!!!!
Yea, I agree. The only time mine has acted up is with my wife limp-wristing it, causing a failure. But since we worked on a different hold, we haven't had a problem, so I am hoping that was it.

Red Storm Holsters Closed for a while
This was posted on another board about "Ishi", owner of Red Storm Holsters and thought the folks here needed to know as well: I visited the web site today and read the announcement, saying that Chuck Thomas and his wife were severely injured in a head on collision. He states he hopes to re...

Dallas Gun Show
Man, these days you can't give up on great deals on a seemingly dwindling market of Milsurp firearms. The deals just keep popping up, and it is like people at the doors of a department store who is selling a new video game or something. It happens when someone gets wind of some great deals, and shar...

Camo Grips, photos posted...
I almost forgot to post pics. Like I stated in an earlier post, these were "Bubbaized". The previous owner had taken a rasp file and tried to take the thumb shelf off. :o These grips are now my range grips after TTH's Duracoat job, I keep the Dennis Grips for dressier occasions, like shoot...

Refinishing my 1911
Had to wait to read your final post Trent to get my answer. I had a friend buy a Llama 1911 like yours and I polished up the feed ramp and just gave it a general cleaning. I wanted to know how yours worked, if it had any problems. You seemed to answer my question in your last post.

Gunneyrabbit, I'd say you "cleaned up". Dishwasher... ::)sorry, it's a bit late for me. But you did very good Mister! NB, I would get a John Wayne holster just to go visit Walmart with it on my hip, or hang the rig in my oldest daughters "Tack room"\ bedroom right next to her Ste...

What did you get for Christmas?
Hey roester, if you are referring to me, that is exactly what I had in mind. I had a fella custom make me a holster for one of my guns, and he custom fits the holster to the gun. Very good work, but I'm sure pricey for a nice six gun holster. What would that be like to open carry a six gun like that...

:'( It's beautiful NB, I think I want to cry. Those appointments, what look to me like a Cobalt blue, are fantastic looking. I'm glad my wife is sleeping, she would be asking me "What are you looking at?" :-/ I had better be careful, I will be looking for a six gun and Western holster. I k...

....P.S.S. - quick story on the 1911. All of us aboard ship had to qualify with a .45 in order to stand watches. I was in charge of the cooks (Supply Officer) and had a Filipino Chief Petty Officer who basically ran everything. He was great (and a heckuva fisherman)...but he wasn't much of a shoote...
