Re: New P-64 and range report
Anybody know where I can find spare mags for the older P64 with the rounded hammer? My doesn't like the newer mags (the ones for the new version of the P64 with the flat hammer).

P-64 Magazine
I've got an older P64 with the rounded hammer. Seems that the magazines for the newer P64's (with the flattened hammer) don't work well with my gun. I've only got one working magazine. Does anyone know where I can get older P64 mags? I really like the little guy, but I'd be a lot happier if I had a ...

Questioning the FBI 12" - 18" Penetration Standard
The FBI penetration standard of 12" - 18" is a fine standard, I'm sure. However, I'm not entirely convinced that it applies to civilian self-defense needs. For the average civilian self-defense need, I believe that a 10" - 14" standard will work - assuming that the round offers d...

Re: P-64 CARRY SET-UP: POCKET CARRY PERFECTION
There are some really nice carry rigs shown here. I really do like the P64, and it's edged out my G42 as my preferred EDC. I have a unique circumstance that limits me to smaller guns like the P64 - my wife. When she was a kid, she was playing with friend. Her friend's brother found their dad's pisto...

Re: IJ70 REAR SIGHT
Found some yesterday, and used a dab. It's been during overnight, and is probably good to go right now. I'll get it out on the range Wednesday morning to see how hit does.

Re: P-64 CARRY SET-UP: POCKET CARRY PERFECTION
It is indeed a great carry gun. It might have been a poor concept for a military/police duty pistol, but it excels when it comes to concealed carry - assuming you think that 9x18 will give you enough juice, and assuming you make some minor modifications to it.

P-64 CARRY SET-UP: POCKET CARRY PERFECTION
The 19 pound hammer and 20 pound recoil spring combo from Wolff did a whole lot to tame this little beasty. Now I'm just waiting for the Marschal grips to arrive, and I'm gonna have a sweet little EDC. I've minimized the notorious slide bite by adjusting my grip. I wrap my two main fingers (but not ...

Re: What is your favorite 9x18/Comm Bloc/ milsurp pistol & w
Depends. The P-64 is great for pocket carry due to it's relatively small size and curved lines. Just place it in an Uncle Mikes or Blackhawk nylon size 3 pocket holster, and I'm good to go. I carry a spare mag and a NAA Pug (BUG) in a little pocket holster I made out of some scrap leather. I've got ...

Re: IJ70 REAR SIGHT
Use the purple. Better options down the road. Second tip to use the purple. Thanks. Gonna get me some. I love the 9x18 round - it's like a .380ACP on steroids and gives me enough juice to meet my self-defense needs. When it comes to concealed carry, I'm not gonna carry anything bigger than a Mak, P...

Re: IJ70 REAR SIGHT
Just put a drop on the threads, and you may want to use purple instead of the blue. Not quite as tough to disassemble. Hoo yah! Thanks. Gonna make a trip over to Lowe's today and see if I can find the Purple. If not, then I'll order some. Google/Yahoo is milsurp pistol owner's friend... or worst so...

Re: MUCH MO BETTA
I kinda like these little guys, so I'm saving up for a second p64. Gonna try Russ' grips on that one. Why a second P64? Why not? Might just get it cerakoted as well.

Yezzir. If any magazines pop up on eBay, I'll have to make sure they're factory mags. Gonna check-out the local gun shows as well, but I'm gonna take a factory mag with me to make use it's cut the same.chestertnted wrote:Eventually you can get some on eBay.
