Re: WOLFF SPRING PACKS
Do it just like JB7748 shows in his pictures in the link Curly1 posted. I used a 6" piece of 1/2" dowel, secured it with a #19 brad and sanded it on 3M sandpaper for metal. I made passes on all 3 grades in the pack, from course to fine, just to make it nice. Ended up looking just like the ...

Re: Slide problem
I ground the ends of the recoil spring on the 20# Wolff spring as Curly1 suggested and, lo and behold, it's much easier to reassemble the pistol now. I can't quite figure why it works, but it does work. Took the pistol to the range and fired it with both the original and 20# Wolff spring. I didn't p...

Re: Slide problem
Folks, In an earlier post I said that the recoil spring the P64 I bought from the distributor 10 years ago had an unground spring. I thought that must be the original spring, but I looked through my parts box and, sure enough, there was the original ground spring in a Wolff 20# spring envelope. Myst...

Re: Slide problem
Gents,
I stripped my P64 and found the recoil spring is not ground. I purchased this gun from the importer (CAI I think) more than 10 years ago so I don't believe the spring would have been replaced. What does grinding the spring do anyway and how much do you grind off?
Regards,
Jeff

Re: Replacement Original Grip Panel
Bought the left grip panel from the guy on eBay. $9, got it in 5 days and it fit fine. A bonus is that it is an original flat grip, not the cheesy thumb rest panel the importer had to put on it to make it a "sporting" pistol. Hope it holds up.
Thanks to all who responded.
Best,
Jeff

Re: Replacement Original Grip Panel
Thanks, Gary. Much obliged. I'll check them out.
And thanks for the welcome. I was a member of this forum a while back but kind of drifted away. I remember this forum was always a helpful place.

Replacement Original Grip Panel
Gents,
The left grip panel on my P64 has developed a crack through the grip screw. I'd like to replace with an original, but am having a hard time finding one. Anyone know where I can find a replacement left panel or perhaps the pair?
Thanks,
Jeff
