Re: Power of the Makarov round

Google the Taurus PT 111 G2 in 9mm. It has received good reviews and is for sale at a very reasonable price.

Re: Surprising comparison of 9x19 and 9x18 rounds

It was my pleasure! I, too, was astonished at the lethality of the 9x18 round.

Re: Power of the Makarov round

There are few videos comparing the 9x19 and the 9x18. Here is one of them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ud6i3WD-JRo

Power of the Makarov round

See the video (attached link) for a demonstration of the power of the 9X18 Makarov round. The target is a cinder block.

Re: Slide recoil spring

I replaced the original 18-pound slide spring, and the P-64 now operates much better. Thanks to all!

Re: Slide recoil spring

As per a Youtube recommendation, I put in a 22-pound slide spring, which now appears to be too much tension. I will remove it and replace with the original 18 pound.

Re: Slide recoil spring

Does anyone know what the original tension of the P 64's slide spring is? Thank you!

Slide recoil spring

I put in a new slide spring (recommended 22 lbs.) into my P 64. The slide is now almost impossible to pull back to chamber a round or to do anything else norma with the slide. What should I do?

P-64 and hollow point ammunition

Does the P-64 have any problems firing hollow point ammunition?

Re: weapons used in self defense

I learned why the US has a Bill of Rights and, especially, a Second Amendment by reading the English Bill of Rights of 1689 and the Virginia Declaration of Rights. Google these documents, and you will be likely enlightened about the purpose of the Founders.

25-pound double action trigger pull

Can someone explain why the designers of the Radom P-64 pistol made the double-action, first pull of the trigger so stiff, that is, at approximately 25 pounds? How could this possibly assist police or military to fire off the first round? Thank you.
