Just unboxed it and slipped the P64 inside. Fits snugly. I'll know more when I've broken it in a bit.
Again, thanks to everyone for the input, help and your patience as I get used to my first P64.

Re: Power of the Makarov round
The 7.62 X 25 was built around a 95 gr. offering as well ... but ... I developed a loading using the Sierra 125 gr. hollow point flat nose touted as the '30-30' bullet. Made primarily for 30-30 velocities at longer yardage. The performance in wet phone books is phenomenal. Some of the prettiest mush...

Re: Grip 'n' Group
I dispatched for several years. One of my closest friends was probably the best police officer I'll ever know. In his words "If you ever carry, always carry." Meaning that if you are known, you are expected to be carrying a weapon and anyone confronting you will automatically assume just t...

Re: Grip 'n' Group
I grew up and still live in a rural area where doors weren't even locked ... until a few short years ago. Every neighbor had the assurance that EVERY OTHER neighbor had their back ... until a few short years ago. In the last few short years I've had to grow up, a LOT. Stay safe guys. I love your att...

Re: Shooting the P64
@Cruly1, hmmmm, it's a wonder I hadn't seen this before. I'm an avid shooter and have been for many, many years. I haven't followed it as much in the last few years, but I'd think I would have seen the chart you posted. Thanks, I think that will help me develop my grip on the P64 and trigger pull mu...

Re: Grip 'n' Group
Just went with the black. Choices were black or 'dark' brown. I might have gone for a lighter brown. Pictures show the holster riding pretty high, I may still look into one that fits into the back of the trousers. The shame about this whole thing is that I now feel the NEED to carry.

Shooting the P64
Pretty new here, this could have already been discussed but in poking around a little I didn't see it addressed directly, so ... here goes. I've shot just a few rounds from my P64 and only from one box of ammo. Everything is going low left. Could be sights, but it could also be my grip on the gun. I...

Re: Grip 'n' Group
IWB for a first setup. The P64 fits very nicely into a couple of coat pockets too.
Question: In general does the P64 fit most holsters made for the Walther PPKS? I've read that the two pistols are very similar in shape and size.

Re: Grip 'n' Group
Thanks for the heads up robhic. Once I settle on an ammo (two actually, one for play, one for carry) I probably won't be shooting the P64 that much so maybe it won't be a big problem.
Gotta pick all you guys brains for holsters now ...

Re: CZ52 or Tokarev (TT-33, Type 54, M57, etc)?
In fear of a Clinton shutdown on firearms in '08 I bought 3 CZ52's while they were cheap ($116.00 delivered to my door ... and one was an unissued!). Never been sorry of it. One is a 'one dot' (on top of slide). I put the Harrington firing pin kit in one, used that as a pattern and made a kit for an...

Pretty neat rig. That would work well when I'm hiking.
