Defensive Ammo

nbender I was at 6 feet. except into the clay approx 3 feet. The silver bear JHP's looked like the brown bears that didn't expand in your tests. I just looked at a bunch of the silver bear JHP's I have and there seems to be a major difference in everything from the lead core to the "jacket slic...

Defensive Ammo

nbender great pictures. The silver bear's JHP I tested did not expand. The only one that did was into hard Texas clay, what some call dirt. What distance did you fire these from? The powrball was intact, I never fired them into dirt. amd6547: shatter might have been the wrong word, my bad. I had edi...

Defensive Ammo

Those wonder bullets either Hornady or PowRBall will do far more damage than the silver bear JHP ! It better be a head shot if you are depending on silver bear JHP or FMJ. I would not trust the Glaser safety to defend my life. PowRBall 1300 fps 263ft/lbs at 70gr it shatters, not like a Glaser more l...

Spoke to 2 military armorers

Hey najaf, I wish I could say the same about the finish on mine :( it was new but the finish has worn off very quick. Hey and uh as for the 71gr being a pipsqueak I don't know but wow the 70gr powrball is one hot round. I sure wouldn't want to get hit with one ! The Hornady seems like a light load c...

Spoke to 2 military armorers

Hello everyone , I have shot everything I could find through my p64 and there is no indication at all that the slide is m aking contact with the trigger guard/frame. This pistol is one of the finest I have ever shot as far as accuracy and reliability. I have been shooting since my 8th birthday. I th...
