P-64 Pricing
Larry's Pistol and Pawn here in Huntsville, AL ran an ad in the Redstone Arsenal newspaper that included "P-64 Polish Radom Makarovs" for $159. They were sold out before I had a chance to go by and see them. I suspect they did not have an extra mag. Larry's is one of the largest volume ret...

I've got a set of those also. I caught them on sale (with a coupon) at Harbor Frieght for $9.99. They are exactly the same as the Caldwell Shooting Supply version that I got from Midway for about $30.
Can't beat these for the money.

P-64 Pocket Holster
Here is my solution to the pocket holster made from a mouse pad. The rubber side keeps it from pulling out of the pocket, the the fabric side is slick and releases the pistol easily. Ugly, but works
Still takes a big pocket though.

Wolff Springs
I can' t detect any difference in felt recoil after installing the #22 spring. :-/ I put the stock military spring back in the gun as the Wolf springs makes puttig the slide on very hard to do, and taking it apart even harder! If I had felt a significant decrease in recoil I would have sucked it up ...

Got my Wolff Recoil Spring today
Like the poster below I received my 22lb recoil spring today. It was a little hard to go it, but it did. The new spring is actually a bit shorter than the original, but the wire seems larger in diameter. At first the slide refused to go back far enough to engage the frame and reinstall. After about ...

Mouse Pad Pocket Holster
I got to looking at the Desantis pocket holster and realized I could probably make the same thing from a used mouse pad. This is a pic of my first attempt. The fabric is on the inside and allows the pistol to be drawn easily, and the foam outside stays put in the pocket very well. I folded it over a...

I just joined the club!!
I recieved another one today for SOG. It is a 1968 marked gun as is my last one. However this one has a small smear of corrosion on it just infront of the trigger guard on both the frame and slide. :-[ Looks like it might have gotten a drop of seat or something on it when it was being put in storage...

I carry my P-64 in a Fobus (for the Sig 232) also.
It fits my Hungarian PA-63 even better.

Silver Bear Ammo
Redfestiva,
It has been a couple of months since I ordered, so I can't remember for sure, but it was not unreasonable. It seems it was about the same postage amount when I have ordered from other dealers.

Silver Bear Ammo
I've had good success with Silver Bear FMJ and JHP in my P64 and PA-83, although I have had a couple of FTF with teh JHP in the pa-63. Shoots straight and clean and not nearly as much recoil as some old Russian surplus I had. I got mine for $5.50 a box from this place. http://www.kyimports.com/ammo....

Reloading Question
dolang1, Lee doesnt offer a handloader for 9X18. I started reloading 40 years ago with a handloader, but only used them for rifle calibers where only the neck was resized. Full length resizing with the handloaders turned out to be impractical. The setup that Norm suggests is a good one, but for most...

SOG has mags for $9.95
The mags arrived and both the PA-63 and the P-64 are new condition. I can't see that a round has ever scooted across the follower. The PA-63 is unmarked, but the P-64 has a 4 digit serial number (o6498) electro penciled on the left bottom side.
