Re: New owner

Very nice pistol! Classic has a spotty reputation on a lot of forums and I'm glad to see they did well by you.

Re: Really nice Shoulder holster

That's a great price. RTG is a very good vendor; I have bought Uzi mags from them at a super low price.

Re: Grip reduction?

My approach to the problem would be to order some wood replacement grips from Marschal or another vendor, try to get them in an unfinished condition and start sanding them down until i achieved a comfortable fit. Someone else on the board may have a much simpler solution. I hope you have success!

Re: Check out the Vid

I don't understand what is gained by eliminating the double action first shot. If a shooter wants a single action first shot, he can simply cock the hammer from the decocked position. Eliminating the decocker takes away the option of double or single action first shot and requires it to be carried e...

Sorry, the only spring I have changed is the hammer spring.

Re: Brutal Recoil

A grip sleeve, commercial or home made with a bicycle innertube works wonders. My first experience with p64 was like yours. I was awestruck by the accuracy but dumbfounded by the recoil, which seemed excessive given the relatively heavy weight of the firearm for its size.

Re: How good are new mags?

I believe the the hammer may have been an armory refit. The springs were original with the typical excruciating double action pull. I replaced the springs myself. It has a good single action trigger but I don't think a trigger job had been done.

Re: Hello everyone i am new

When you ask a question about defensive carry and ammo you will get as many different opinions as you get answers. Find a gun/ammo combination that works reliably, practice extensively to build confidence in both the weapon and your ability to use it quickly and decisively. Everybody has an opinion ...

Beautiful grips; they really blend with the overall style of the pistol. Did you make them or are they available commercially?

Re: Grip Tape?

I tried to use a Hogue grip sleeve, but I tore it trying to install it. So I cut a section of 2" bike innertube, slipped it over the grips then used an x-acto knife to trim it to fit. The innertube is thick enough to cushion the grip slightly but not too thick to affect pocket carry or iwb carr...

Re: Hello all, new P-64 owner in GA

I tore the hogue trying to get it on the grips so I cut a piece of bicycle innertube. Thicker than the hogue and the average bike tube will yield about ten grip sleeves. Trim to fit with an x-acto knife,
