Re: Where are all the p64 parts
I think they're actually holding on to them, I've seen a couple p64 recently that appeared to have been refurbished before import. Lots of new internals and fresh bluing over relatively worn slides and frames

Re: New P-64 owner from Classic
Not only are they known for refusing to approve most negative reviews they even started deleting most that they did post. A few years back around the same time they added the "was this review helpful" feature they got caught literally STEALING from a very well known Reddit user so hundreds...

Re: PPU bulged cases.
If you have an Academy Sports near you they stock their brand (Monarch) for about 10 bucks a box. Steel cased but that's not a flaw IMO, they weren't shooting brass back in the day and I've shot literally thousands of rounds with no issue. As cheap as it is it'd be about like reloading 9x19, pointle...

Re: Latest Acquisition from Classic
Sorry to burst your bubble but plenty of people consider surplus commie block weapons collectable, including the p64. Especially unissued ones. I have a khyber pass makarov and a US manufacture (remington) mosin nagant and there's no shortage of people willing to give their left testicle for either ...

Re: Latest Acquisition from Classic
Picked mine up today, very early production 1966. Got lucky and received one in 100% condition, literally perfect. Shame it wasn't marked discretely, would make a nice collector piece other wise. Going to stick this in the safe anyways, can't bring myself to use it as a night stand gun.

Re: J&G sales and Classic firearms feedback
Classic's rep is absolute GARBAGE in every forum. And I mean ALL of them. Check out what people have to say about them in the AK and Mosin forums. They don't just ship crappy guns, they've been caught doing everything from deleting negative reviews to out right lying about guns origin like the most ...

Re: Latest Acquisition from Classic
Dang, wish I would have came here before I bit the bullet and ordered another. Gun looks nice but what a butt ugly billboard import mark, never would have bought if I knew they stopped putting the small import mark on the underside. It's Classic though, shouldn't be surprised. If it was the small im...

Flush magazines
Anyone have some pictures of modified magazine bases? Got a few spare mags I'd like to mod for carry. I found a thread here about it but the picture links are dead

Re: P64 or makarov
Get all three. I wouldn't stress over finding a makarov from a particular country, the difference between a Bulgarian and Russian production are essentially nill other than price. The IJ70 mak has adjustable sights but they're nothing to lust over. There are doublestack maks but if capacity/practica...

Re: p64
I don't think it's a good idea to treat any firearm as 100% drop safe, regardless of the condition of carry. That being said I've had a Heckler and Koch USP fall straight on it's hammer from about 3 stories high ( ! ) and not go off

Re: Trigger not wanting to engage
Yeah that's the reason I got from them, having accepted the transfer from the FFL. As to the poor examples I received and their advertised condition they replied simply "that's surplus" implying the established grading scale doesn't mean diddly to them. I may try to make a further fuss but...

Re: Grips4you.net
They ship a lot faster than Marschall grips and have the benefit of being sent from stateside. My friend owns a pair and the fit and finish is nice but I'd still wait for the Marschall grips to be made unless I just couldn't wait

Re: Trigger not wanting to engage
Can't make a return to Classic Firearms once you accept it from the FFL. Or, if you ordered with a c&r, can't return it period.

Re: Addendum on CLASSIC FIREARMS
While that was fair I think it's beyond a mistake how many rust jobs they have sent out especially after the big puff piece description, even ending with "If you want a very nice p64, this is it", with a description like that no reasonable person would expect to open up the box to such bot...
