Re: 1st post. Hello and a magazine question.
Found parts for 2 more mags, everything but the finger rest bottom plate. Parts were on gunbroker. Received new old style mag bodies, springs, and followers. Made bottom plates out of aluminum on the mill. Wanted mags without the finger rest. http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc492/jimdgreat1/2015...

Re: Newbie with probably an old question on Wolff springs
I'm thinking no. Any lighter will not produce reliable fire and may drop the magazine.
Maybe some polishing of the components and a 17 pound spring. Don't think it would make much difference. Hopefully someone else will reply. I don't have much experience with the p64.

Re: 1st post. Hello and a magazine question.
Bought and received today a 2nd P64 with two magazines. One old and one new style. New style lip length .730 Old style lip length .660 There is a radius at the end of the lip. Makes exact measuring more of a guess. Looks like I guessed pretty close. I didn't add back the radius but will. Hope this h...

Take the loaded round indicator out. It's not that hard. You should be able to clean it up.

Re: 1st post. Hello and a magazine question.
Well I guessed and ground the feed lips back to .68 long. Didn't measure before, should have. Took off maybe .05? .1?
Pistol runs much better now. Still would like to hear measurements from others.
Ordered another from classic. Should have 2 more mags to compare too.

Re: Round Jams Going Into Chamber
I'm having the same problem. From pictures on here it seems I have a newer style mag and an older pistol. The rounds are hanging up just before the rim clears the feed lips. I've shortened the lips some. Hoping to get a length to shorten them to.

1st post. Hello and a magazine question.
Traded for a 1968 P64 recently. Really like this pistol. Seem to have received a new style magazine with this pre-72 pistol. I've read to shorten the feed rails. Searched for an actual dimension but have not found one. Anyone want to measure their old style feed lips with a caliper and give me the l...
