I had the same problem when I pressed the trigger when the gun was disassembled and the spring flew out. Just follow the videos and you should be ok.

You cannot cock the hammer with the safety on. Your pistol is not unsafe. Your pistol is defective. Sorry to inform you that you have a misleading title to your post.

That happened to me when the safety detente spring was bad and the safety became kind of loose. Changed the safety detente spring and the gun is good to go now.

Got the Polish safety detente spring a couple of days ago. I installed it successfully after more than an hour of efforts. The keeper for the loaded chamber indicator got loose and fell out so I had to put that first. After that, the firing pin went flying out. Retrieved it and I finally got the job...

I lost the safety detent spring when it went flying into oblivion while trying to get the firing pin out. Anyone know where I can get one or some small spring that will do the same job?

I just got my P-64 yesterday. That happened to me too after I pressed the trigger while the pistol was disassembled. What was happening is that the trigger bar had gotten loose and gravity was setting it downwards when the gun was upright. What keeps the trigger bar snug in the upper channel is the ...
