Re: P64 Magazines in Stock???

Received mine today. Both had numbers etched on them and one had a broken floor plate. I called Lisa at SOG and they are sending out another floor plate today. Very happy with the customer service! One mag is pre-72 and one is post-72 and both are in very good condition. I have always had good cust...

Re: J&G sales and Classic firearms feedback

With my C&R, I recently got a "Very Good" condition CZ-82 from Classic Firearms. I was prepared (based on what I had read online) for their NRA "grading" of their products to be higher than what I was used to from AIM or SOG (whom I have had VERY good experiences with!) The weapon would definitely h...

Re: P64 Magazines in Stock???

I got mine today in the USPS. It is a surplus post-72 ("new") magazine with one set of electro-pencil serial numbers (the hand-picked 1970 model P64 I got from AIM Surplus in 2015 came with one each pre-/post-72 magazines which both had multiple serial numbers), and a spring that is much tighter (an...

Re: P64 Magazines in Stock???

Sorry, been super busy. Got a confirmation while I was out of town (with no connectivity) on Monday from SOG: $16.43 + $7.15 S&H via USPS for a single magazine for a total of $23.58. A fair price for a surplus out-of-production magazine (I paid more for a surplus CZ-82 magazine from MidwayUSA recent...

P64 Magazines in Stock???

SOG appears to have P64 magazines in stock. I placed an order for an extra after 1700 EST online today (a Friday) and did not get a confirmation. If I do not hear something by Monday when they open, I will call.

Re: PI/ new Kydex holsters

You are definitely peaking my interest, Russ.

Since I need to order a set of V.05 grips from you anyway, I might just have to order both those and a holster. :-)

Re: PI/ new Kydex holsters

Interesting. I see in the photos that you wear the OWB waistband in the 3 o'clock position. How does it ride in the 5 o'clock position for those of us that prefer to carry there?

Re: Experience with these Holsters

I have worn the Suncraft holster for years. Stays close to the body (after break-in). I wear it at 5 o'clock and have never had an issue. For IWB carry, I use Grandfather Oak kydex. Great clamshell retention holster. I own several for different pistols. Thanks, IrishBob! I ended up with the Blackha...

Re: Rating Different Ammo Brands

I have run PPU FMJ and JHP through my P64, both before and after recoil spring (22lb.) upgrade with no failures at all. I have 2 boxes of GECO FMJ (Made in Hungary) that I got from AIM ($12.95 ea on sale) that I am going to try next. I only shoot brass-cased, non-bimetal ammo since many of the range...

Re: Soft rubber grips

Any more "longer" term (or as long as they have been out) carry/shooting reports on the V.05 grips? How are they doing in daily carry with the hot weather? How are the wearing? Staying snug with repeated trips to the range? Love the look of Russ' product, and the reports so far!

Re: 9x18 MAK PCC, wouldn't it be nice !

The Russian PP-19 Bizon 9x18 SMG in semi-auto configuration designed in 1996 would meet your requirements. Fitted with a 64-round under-barrel helical magazine and a side-folding AKS-74 butt-stock the Bizon was supposedly accurate to about 100 meters.

Re: HOGUE Handall Jr. Grip Sleeve

The instructions that came with mine even said to boil it. Which I did, thoroughly dried it (after removed it from the water with kitchen tongs), and worked it on. 10 minutes later it was done. I really don't see what all the fuss has been about this method. As long as the surfaces are dried properl...
