Re: Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0 Holster
Hi Cooper, So glad to hear that your happy with your AG. I have only good things to say about mine also. When I first got mine I tightened the shell attach screws to hold the P-64 tighter when held upside down so that it wouldn't slide out. But then when I began wearing it I found that there wasn't ...

Re: List of preferred (and not-so-preferred) parts dealers?
I purchased some small safety parts (spring & detent) from a Poland seller "feneks" on Gunbroker. This was a month or so ago and at the time he had quite a few P-64 parts. My parts arrived in a very reasonable time for being sent so far. I would definitely purchase again from him.

Re: AIM Surplus P-64
I got my P-64 from AIM a few months ago. I paid the additional $10 for best-of-5 pick, and the pistol I received is a 1974 model that looks brand new and has been 100% perfect in every respect. So good to hear that others have had the same good results from AIM. I recommend them too.

Re: Replacement Wolff 18 lb hammer spring - SA pull
Hi to all, I finally got around this evening to install the Wolff 20 lb hammer spring in my P-64. So here are the SA pulls I've found so far with the 18 lb, 20 lb and stock (?? lb) spring in my particular P-64 using my manual Wheeler trigger pull gauge: SA pull on my P-64 with Wolff 18 lb hammer spr...

Re: Can I fit my P64 in a PPK pocket holster?
Since I haven't browsed eBay in a few weeks, I did that just now and I found another cheapie pocket holster and this one actually does include "P-64" in the title. The title says "Makarov Polish P-64", so its probably another universal fit, but I used the dimensions supplied on t...

Re: Can I fit my P64 in a PPK pocket holster?
Gman, I concur 100% with Ketchman. AlienGear makes a hybrid iwb holster specifically for the P-64 and it is a super fit. I have one of those and I posted a pic in the thread by Cooper_1802. Also, OldFaithful holsters makes an appendix carry belly holster specifically for the P-64 and I've ordered on...

Re: Alien Gear Cloak Tuck 2.0 Holster
Congrats Cooper_1802 on your holster purchase! I think you will really enjoy it. Please let us know after you get it. I have been using one of those for a couple weeks with the P-64 and I really like it. A policeman friend told me that the AG 2.0 is the most comfortable IWB hybrid that he knows of. ...

Re: Replacement Wolff 18 lb hammer spring - SA pull
Thanks Ketchman, and after thinking about this a bit more, I think I'll go ahead and install the 20 lb hammer spring instead of the 19.
By knowing the SA pull of the 20 and already knowing the SA pull of the 18, then we will know that the 19 would be (somewhere) in the middle of those two.

Re: Replacement Wolff 18 lb hammer spring - SA pull
I still have the stock hammer spring installed and it is workable so I've been pondering whether or not to try the 19 & 20. With the stock hammer spring the main annoyance to me is the difficulty of the mag release. I'll try to get the 19 lb spring installed within the next few days to see what ...

Interesting mod gemini1. Good luck and I look forward to hearing your range report.
I'm planning to take my now-stock P64 to the range tomorrow to see what I can do with it.

Re: Replacement Wolff 18 lb hammer spring - SA pull
Hi gemini1, yes I meant to put on the op that the max pull weight measured on my Wheeler gauge is 8 lbs. Even the expensive gauges that I found would measure only up to 14-15 lbs, so not enough for our P-64 DA pulls.

Replacement Wolff 18 lb hammer spring - SA pull
Hi to all, This topic was touched in the thread on Underwood ammo, and this report was requested in that thread. This subject came up for me when I ran across an article from the Armed Citizens Legal Defense Network that discusses gun modifications (and specifically trigger pull spring weight modifi...

Re: Underwood ammo, Hornady ammo
gemini1, the trigger pull testers I've seen don't measure over about 14 or so pounds. I ordered a mechanical guage that didn't cost as much as a digital one and the one I ordered only measures up to 8 lbs. So enough to measure the P-64 SA pull, but not the DA pull.

Re: Underwood ammo, Hornady ammo
Borg, right on, and I love your phrase "better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6". A very applicable phrase to remember. Ketchman, I will report back what I find on the springs when my gauge arrives next week. I plan to start with the currently installed 18# hammer spring. I won't be ab...
