Re: My Mak Brass Got Glocked
The PPU factory ammo I have does the same thing (posted somewhere on here a month or so ago with pictures). At the time, I didn't realize the bottom of the case is unsupported where the feedramp intrudes into the chamber but that's why there's such a sharp crease (edge of the feed ramp). I tried rel...

Re: P64's at J&G
Yeah, that's a bit extreme. I'm not looking at those ATF guidelines right now but I think it said the markings have to be .003" deep - somebody misread the decimal point on yours!norman wrote:Yes but lordy did they have to use 90 tons of pressure to imprint?? I can feel the edges of imprint.

Re: New-to-me P-64 to the Range
Thanks, y'all, for the feedback on this. Lots of help here and I appreciate it. 100 Starline cases arrived yesterday and I still have 100 rounds of the PPU factory ammo left as well. I don't expect to be hammering as many rounds downrange with the P-64 as I do my Garands or 1903A3 so I'm hoping to g...

Re: New-to-me P-64 to the Range
Yes, that's a much better place for the thumb. Learning all the time. Tonight I was prepping the cases from Wednesday's shoot and found about 10-15% of the cases had bulges on them at the bottom, next to the case head. Same curved outline on those that had any at all, though the amount of bulge vari...

New-to-me P-64 to the Range
Took my Thanksgiving purchase from Classic to the range yesterday for the first time (arrived on 01 Dec via USPS). It arrived in good condition and no cosmo but a fair amount of gun oil. Two mags, one with the pinkie extension broken off but fully functional, the other in good condition altogether. ...

Re: waiting for P64
Got one from Classic last week, a 1974 - first trip to the range this Wednesday. Functions just fine on the bench (know better on Wednesday) but the finish is a bit worn near the muzzle. Import mark is on the right side of the slide and though not invisible (at all!), it's no worse than I have on a ...

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO
Found this forum when considering a P64 - joined when I put the order in for one with Classic. It arrives Monday after Thanksgiving. Have been back into firearms for a couple years after having sold a pistol (.357 revolver) and shotgun years and years ago when we started having children. Got back in...
