Looks like you got a good one! It's amazing how you can get attached to these old guns.

Re: Later Magazine in Early Pistol
I have a 1968 P64 that came with 2 mags, one old style and one new style. Both mags work perfect in my pistol.

Re: Radom Factory Parts Available!
I recently purchased a 1968 manufactured P64 from AIM Surplus. It came with 2 magazines, one the old style s/n'd to the gun (short feed lips) and another later style magazine (longer feed lips). I have fired at least 50 rounds through both magazines and they both functioned perfect in my early style...

Re: Bad buy?
Glad it's working out. Maybe you can get your FFL to snap a picture so at least you have something to look at for the next couple of months! Being from Texas, it's easy for me to take for granted how I can purchase a gun. When I hear what you guys have to go through... it is truly a shame what a law...

Re: New P64 from AIM
In 1972 some minor changes were made, the shape of the hammer was one change. If your other pistol was made after 1972, then that's the reason. Some people like the old style round hammer (maybe less likely to snag while concealed carry?), some people like the newer larger hammer as it's usually eas...

Re: Slight problem with my new P-64
As Curly1 stated, looks like it's working as it should be. My P64 is very tight and does the same thing. If I run the slide forward very slowly, it catches the hammer in the last 1/2 inch or so to decock, but closes if I push slightly on the back of the slide. It will not do that when shooting, the ...

Re: Bad buy?
Let us know how things work out for you. It's a shame that things are not going well with Sovereign Guns, but in the long run I bet you will be a lot happier with the Aim Surplus guns.

Re: New member with a recent purchase
I'm happy with the condition but I will say one thing, people are right about that double action pull! It's worse than any other gun I own, by far. I don't think this gun has many rounds through it, the action is very tight and the safety is not the easiest to work. But that's what makes these gun s...

Re: New P-64 Owner Here - Thanks for having me!
It looks like you did ok! I think it is truly luck of the draw on what condition you get, but these overall look MUCH better than most I see on gun auction sites. Also you received one with the post 1972 features, which could be a nice thing. It has the newer style hammer making it easier to manual ...

New member with a recent purchase
Hello, new to this site, but already have a few Polish firearms. I just received a P-64 from AIM Surplus, these are the ones they rate as Excellent + on their site. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=f3p64 I concur with their appraisal, at least for the one I received! Mine was manufactured...

Re: P-64's on sale at Classic Firearms
I just received my P64 yesterday from AIM. It really is in excellent condition. It was manufactured in 1968 but looks like it wasn't shot much at all! If all of them are in this condition, I will be tempted to buy another. And their shipping is pretty good, ordered on a Friday night and received on ...

Re: Bad buy?
Does the seller have multiples of this gun? It looks like they relisted another one just like the one you purchased.
Also the one in the picture looks like a later model (1974 on the slide), but it has an earlier style hammer?
