Same problem I had with mine. Try this first before doing anything radical: Clean the assembly with Gun Scrubber or similar product, apply several drops of Lucas Assembly Lube, then work the safety back and forth (it may take 100 or more rotations). In another post by Norm Sutton, he states that Home Depot carries a M3 metric hex nut .50 pitch. It will fit your grip screw, but you will have to blue it to match somewhat.
