Re: Trigger Pull

Yes, two reasons that you have for keeping it-first gun, and pretty good for carry. Sure there are other reasons as well.

Cheers,

Re: Brown Bear for 26 cents/rd plus shipping

I wasn't feeling particularly well that day, that is why I mentioned only one range trip with it. When I return to range in a week or so will see if my experience is the same.

Re: Brown Bear for 26 cents/rd plus shipping

Shot about 30 or so Brown Bear rounds at range without failures of any kind. Was even able to load up 6+1 without failure or dropping of mag. On the downside, and this involved only one range trip, I found the recoil of the Brown Bear to be significant and whereas I shot only 30 or so, I would've sh...

Re: Trigger Pull

I have what I now consider to be a 'hair' trigger in SA mode with my '69 P-64. Reasonably certain prior owner(s) switched the hammer and possibly recoil springs. I think the DA pull is acceptable but SA pull as measured by my manual trigger pull gauge is 3 lbs, or perhaps less. Since I am left-hande...

Re: New p-64 owner question

Welcome to the forum. You may find you have a "hair" trigger in SA when you add a lighter hammer spring. ... OP- I also have a '69 pistol. It's had at least two prior owners and I can tell the hammer and possibly recoil springs (not trigger sping, AFAIK) have been replaced. Guy who sold g...

Re: Trigger Pull

Anyone know what official definition of hair trigger is? Anyone know what official definition of hair trigger is in terms of pull weight? Anyone know if an 'official' definition even exists? :hi: Later : Did a Google Search. Seems to be very subjective, no objective standard other than it can set of...

For benefit of newbies and myself, I thought this was perhaps a typo, and you were referring to 18# hammer spring/mainspring.

Re: Single action trigger Pull

Since my last post I've obtained a manual trigger pull gauge. In comparison to the Lyman digital (I don't own or use one) mine appears to read a bit low, but I am happy with it for the price that was paid. I'd estimate that if not entirely accurate, I believe it is accurate to -1/2# at most, probabl...

Re: Brown Bear for 26 cents/rd plus shipping

Received the 6 boxes that I ordered today. Can't complain-tried cycling a full mag through gun with safety ON and they were okay.

Haven't shot the ammo yet but so far I am satisfied in dealing with Rare Ammo!

Re: Trigger Pull

Is there anyone who can accurately report their DA trigger pull in # with 17, 18 or 19# RP Wolff mainsprings?

Re: Where is price headed?

I just got my SOG flyer today and they have P64's listed for $229.95 Extra mags $17.95 Denny Relatively new to the firearm and all this - what is the SOG flyer ? I don't have a C&R because they are now basically worthless in California, as every gun has to go through FFL now, including long gun...

Re: Where is price headed?

I believe that like most commodities, the price will go where we send it. My dad use to have a saying when I would pay too much for something just because I wanted it right at the moment and wasn't willing to wait until the initial "whatever the market will bear" price didn't fly and it w...

Re: Another way the P-64 can discharge w/o pulling the trigg

Thank you for your comments. Actually, I still came to the conclusion to carry with safety ON in spite of the fact that the hammer's 'tooth arrestor' in mine (similar to hammer-drop catch or half or quarter-cock) seems to work fine with mine as well. In earlier posts I reported that in about 30 cons...
