Last Round Magazine Drop Question

I'm having a hard time understanding how the hammer spring affects the "last round mag drop" issue reported by some folks. My 1969 P-64 dropped the mag on last round 6 times in a row with Wolff 22 lb recoil spring and 18 lb hammer spring. At this time I do not recall if it dropped any mags...

Re: new guy with spring questions

Mine functioned perfectly as it came. Installed Wolff 22lb recoil spring and 18lb hammer spring (with ends slightly flattened) it started dropping the magazine on last round fired and slide does not lock back when empty (as the mag had dropped). With Silver Bear, Brown Bear & Blazer 9x18. Have r...

Re: Where to purchase a P64 now

I got two last month from the St Augustine, FL Gander Mt. (they had 4 at the time) $249.99. A couple of days later the Jacksonville, FL GM had a very nice looking round hammer for $229.99. That one is gone now.

Re: WELCOME THREAD AND MEM, INFO

Hello All, New member and new to me P-64 owner. Stumbled on mine at a Gander Mt it St Augustine, FL. It's a 1969 in "good" condition. It has some holster wear on the muzzle, but other wise looks fine for a 43 yr old surplus pistol. After cleaning and ordering Wolff springs, (not installed ...
