Rust was a concern...I rarely shoot it so it mostly stays in a controlled temperature environment with a good coating of rem oil. I check it at least twice a week to ensure it isn't showing any signs of rust.

I did not, I don't trust myself around guns and tools. My buddy is a professional craftsman who makes his own bows, holsters, knives etc. Immensely talented; he works on firearms as a hobby. Now all that's left is a new set of grips.

I was just curious to know of other places to buy grips other than Marschal as is always suggested...don't get me wrong, they're absolutely beautiful but I just can't shell out $100 at the moment. Is there anyone out there selling a spare pair?

Weak! It shows fine for me, I'll try again soon. Regardless, it kind of changes my grip options. My buddy makes custom grips and I'm meeting with him to decide on a style and color. Any ideas what looks good with plum?

Hello, new user here. I just picked up a P-64 today and noticed that the slide is a plum color instead of standard black. I looked all over these and other boards and got a little bit of info but I'm still a little lost...is this considered a desirable attribute or is it considered inferior? What's ...
