It looked like the ejecting mag was full. You'd have to try it yourself to see if an empty mag would have enough mass to free itself entirely from the mag well.

Just curious. It looks like the rear is replaceable; not sure about the front sight though.

Or how about any custom paint jobs any of you have done to improve the sight picture? I'd love to see them.

Thanks for the info! I believe my P-83 should have arrived at the FFL today. I'll hopefully be picking it up tomorrow.

Have any P-83 owners noticed any difference, quality or otherwise, between early, mid, and late production pistols?

I recently won a GB auction for a really nice looking P-83; currently awaiting delivery. I've done more reading since winning the auction and I seems well documented that production of the P-83 ceased in 2000. So what am I to make of this one marked 2001?
